Pylas Talaer, the port city of the elves. Elorick saw it behind his shoulders for the last time. His parents didn't even know he was leaving, and he had nothing on him...at all. The young bard was a member of the traveling shades, a group of minstrels. they had been chosen to entertain royalty from the city of Shae Cairdal during their stay. Elorick's heart was racing, it was his biggest performance ever, and his trusty luth was by his side. Tonight, he was innovating, or so he thought. Sadly, the elders of Shae Cairdal didn't saw it that way. He thought of inventing new rythms, praising life and newborns. he called is ballad the end of a cycle. His comrades and himself didn't knew tradition was the most important thing for the Aerenal elves. He was too young to learn that, and skipped scholars teachings more often than not. As soon as the elves heard the song, they perceived it as an act of defiance, and promptly had all the troup jailed. 2 months later, Elorick received his punishment .........Xen'drick. The land of the giants, sworn ennemies of the elves. he was exiled to Stormreach, where he would have to fend for himself. Nobody knew what happened to that continent. Elorick was sad to lose his family, who had come visit him in prison often. In his mind, innovation was not a crime, but in the minds of the elders, it was. However, Xen'drick represented his chance to let go this innovation, to let his creative side take over......it was an opportunity of a lifetime.
