Yea it just has really thrown me. They also went through Khristen's car (didn't take anything, including a $100 bill, just dumped her purse everywhere), and a couple of other cars in the area. Being out in the middle of nowhere so to speak, I guess I just expected to be a bit safer. The scary thought is having someone literally right outside the house doing something like that. At least they didn't try to break into the house.

It's the feelings of helplessness that's really getting me. The police were sort of helpful, they at least took a medicine bottle that Khris had in her purse that they had clearly opened. Maybe I expected them to go a little more CSI with the scene.

I just need a bit of time.

Ugh. I remember when at our old house, my mother and sister's cars were broken into. The cars weren't taken but it's still a creepy feeling. And then at oen point my back window was broken and some mostly worthless stuff taken out of the glove box.

You'd think in the middle of nowhere you'd be safe from that kind of crap but I guess crime is everywhere. Time to get yourselves a good guard dog!
