Well my break couldn't have come at a better time. Not only have souvenirs disappeared with TFs but timed missions where you get a mapserver disconnect is hell.
I had 27 min left on a mission I was soloing with Trav when it happened at 3:33AM Central 6/19/05
When I managed to get back I had only 22 min but the mission restarted from the beginning so it failed naturally. No way can anyone solo in 22 min a timed mission from its beginning. The GMs are no help either.
I petitioned it but got a lame response as expected. I'll still be checkin out the forums here and at CoHGuru.
I did manage to get a coalition channel set up with Justice Force though so that's done.
That does suck. But then, timed missions in general suck. I hate them - especially the ones that you don't know are timed until you get them, or that pop up immediately after you exit a storyline mission.

As for the issue, I sent this to them and got back this response. Let's hope the devs do something serious about it.
(Me)I was doing a timed mission with my character Traveller on Virtue for contact Brunetti. Had 27 min left when mapserver disconnected. Also, it is possible for a mission to respawn when your character leaves the game for more than a few moments, regardless of the reason for leaving. Take care.(Me) This is something that should've been taken care in pre-beta by the devs. A fail-safe system in place where in a timed mission, your character's position and the counter would freeze til you could return to the mission from the mapserver disconnect. Like for example in my case, Traveller would come back to the same place in the cavern he was when it disconnected. The timer would still read 27 min. and then proceed to count down. Some sort of pause algorithm so one does not fail the mission. There are timed missions on this tier and the next which give out badges. If this same thing happens to them, one loses the opportunity to get the badge because they can't even redo it. The Mystical Savior badge is one such timed mission. Please relay this message to an appropriate developer. It's the least you can do for me.All this concentration with removing content (souvenirs from the TF badges) from the role-playing player to work on material for the PvPer lately has me thinkin.
