Welcome to the Asylum!!!


    I'd like to welcome all those that have somehow found your way to this site.  We are a Casual to Serious SG, regularly running TF's for our members and helping out whenever possible. As a general rule we don't do non-active Pl'ing, so if your looking for an SG to get you to 50 in a few days, this isn't your kind of place.  We have very few rules and we'd like to keep it that way, and only invite decent players that know how to have fun and play their toons properly (and we're always willing to teach those that want to learn).

    The Origin of the Atom Smashers is somewhat lost to time, but what is known is that we were started by Johnny Spikes sometime in 2007. Spikes, together with TotalImmortal and the indomitable Merryl Pumpkinhead, helped build the SG in its infancy and recruited the current leadership, Arduin, Sytherea, and myself (then known as Neurophage).  Then, sometime in Februrary 2007, Spikes left the SG under mysterious circumstances, and Total and Merryl left soon thereafter. Later, we merged with the Titans of Paragon SG and welcomed a new leader, Tan Man (and his purple speedos!). Thus the current leadership has not only survived but thrived to become on of the Top 100 SG's on the server. The base itself is now 5 times the size it was then, and our prestige total now tops 40 million. With the help of dedicated players like Yuki of the Blades, Rempire (yes I'm on an ITF) Knight and Bowldozer as well as countless others, we strive to be the top sg on Champion.   

    We run SG teams on a regular basis,  1) to increase our prestige and 2) to help you guys level your toons.  TF's are run pretty much every weekend and sometimes during the week, so don't hesitate to speak up if you'd like to join an experienced crew of players. 

    Oh, and don't be afraid to post on the forums or say hello to any of our Coalition members in-game.  Most of our coalitions started as friends of Ard, Syth and I and we'd like them to be your friends too. Many of our TF's have involved members of our coalitions, so don't be shy!
