Coru has the funds (in theory) to purchase a horse, however I'm not particulary fond of the colours available.

I'm sure I read somewhere that mounts will be given some love in furture expansions, I think I'll wait and see..

any thoughts from horse owners and non-horse owners?

I couldn't live without a horse. Sure, the dismounts are annoying, but the amount of time saved travelling makes up for it easily.

It's not compulsary to get a horse if you don't want one. But you will find that from here on in, it gets easier to get cash.

If they're talking about possibly doing something in future expansions, you will likely be waiting at least 6 months to see if they have anything planned. And when they do, it might not involve different colours at all.

Just go ahead and get a horse - I would have preferred another colour too. But then everyone and their uncle buys a horse, and I wouldn't want to be the one always asking "Please wait, I am on foot..." 

Plus as Scutter said, later on the cash just keeps coming in, unless you have excessive auctionhouse-habits!

thanks for the feedback. Well I guess I will get a horse once I have enough left over to cover skills and repairs costs.

When did horse owners make their purchase? at 5G, 6G or.. (insert GG joke here )

Acquired my 1 ton of ambulatory dog food yesterday. I shall name him George and hug him and squeeze him and pet him and never let him go.
Makes a difference in travel times obviously, and is probably worth the money in the long run.

as I knew we'd get some cash for some of the pre-quests & had just repped all my gear
