oocI'm currently a level 15 ogre warrior (in the midst of my betrayal quest to Qeynos) aspiring to be a Guardian, and I'm seeking out a - I hate the term hardcore, lets just say "immersive" - roleplaying guild to join on Antonia Bayle. My wife I expect to join also at some point, she's also an avid roleplayer. Both of us have been roleplaying for years on EQ1, although not on a roleplay server. The opportunity here seems too good to miss, so we want to find a quality guild.I'm actively looking at a guild now that seems to be excellent (and a member of this union), but I want make sure I'm covering my bases - I don't guild-hop!

Hm - well you know I know of an entire guild made up of Freeport races who betrayed that roleplay, but I don't know how immersive they actually are. You could try contacting them - they're the Legacy of Honour folks - here's a link to their forums. See what you think!http://www.stormiesworld.com/phpbb/index.php?c=8We roleplay with this group often and team up when we can. They're a lot of fun and nice folks. I'll keep my eyes open for you - I don't think our guild would quite fit, but you can at least come over and say hallo. I'm always happy to rphttp://www.faullen.comCheerio!

House Meril-Anor has a theme that accomodates evil races that betray; we are a merchant house aspiring to nobility, headed by humans, and as such have room for a variety of character types. We all have “jobs” in the house, such as caravan guard; ship's captain; resident confessor; and other things that fit our merchant theme. We are very serious about roleplaying, are 100% IC in public channels, and regularly run plots and events. Recently we have been coming together for dedicated RP times about 3 to 5 times per week, and striving for excellence in our roleplay is very important to us.

The guild was founded by myself and my husband and we have several adult couples in the guild who play the game together. But we also have a nice diversity of membership, from teens to late 50s, and everyone is very friendly and helpful; a lovely group of people, really. Our guild and group chat are what you'd call “mature and family-friendly“ versus having any arguing, profanity, etc. in them.

You can find our website here.

If you are interested in joining, please contact me in-game as Durinda or Maritra so we can discuss OOC. When the servers are down (as they are currently) we are often found hanging out in the chat room on our site, so feel free to drop in for an OOC visit.

Hey mate....we have a few people in our guild who have betrayed...our most recent is a Troll who is becoming a Paladin!

I'd be interested in hearing more about your character and talking to you a bit in-game if you would like. Otherwise, check out our website, meet us at the Meet and Greets, or however

Moog, do you have a story of why you betrayed Freeport?
Yub. Dis stury me told to elfs who were nice to Moog... me considur joinun dem, but me nub elf and me break da doorways in da guildhall... *grins*/ooc Here's the story I've presented on another board, I've added the part that I've completed the betrayal quest:The ogre walked within the lush, green brush of the Antonican forest as the brambles flowed over his armor. He stayed far from the paths and roads that lay across the land, as he realized he was still considered a monster in these western lands far from home.Yet home was no longer that. He was an exiled member of the Order of the Warlord, a group devoted to their God, Rallos Zek. While the Overlord in the past tolerated such groups given their nature in battle, his desires grew more twisted over time. Eventually, none could be worshipped other than himself.Moog, as this ogre was known, still remembers the day when the Militia came to arrest them for "treason". Vintesse, the dark elf warrior who led this group, said simply "No man, not even Lucan, comes before the God of War". Then, in an instant, she drew her blade and sliced through the sergeant leading the militia. The solider gave a look of shock, then fell to the ground.Much beyond that was a blur of blades and shouting, but in the end only Moog was left alive, and taken to Lucan for "entertainment". After a few taunting words, the litch had him executed, an unarmed death that is dreaded by the followers of Rallos Zek.So, Moog laid dead. However, what Lucan didn't know was that his executioner had other plans. A slow-acting poison, simulating death, was placed on her blade. Moog was not killed, but only injured enough to let the poison's effects believable. It was only in the graveyard much later that the executioner explained how she sought those who would fight Lucan, and help them escape to Qeynos. It was during this conversation that Moog made a vow - to put an end to Lucan forever. Now, at this point it bears mention that all followers of the Warlord sought death and destruction upon all corners of Norrath. The shattering led to the shamans of many tribes speaking of war in the absolute, of honor in battle, and of rules within conflict. While not all of his believers followed such rules, the Order of the Warlord did, finding that destruction was best served upon the battlefield, and that there was little honor in destroying those who were not prepared. The destruction of the human litch Lucan would bring great honor to his fallen Order, and would please the Warlord. However, Moog could not do this alone. He needed the assistance of those more powerful then he. The general never mattered as much as the fight, he thought, so joining the army of the Queen of Antonica would serve his and her purposes well. Thus, Moog walked across the lands, finding at last the lush, hilly terrain of Antonica. As told by the executioner, he met a man named Vishra who could help him gain acceptance in the west. However, even he was not comfortable with giving him safe passage... yet. Moog would have to prove himself to the people of Antonia through action. This suited the ogre fine. For a good period of time, Moog fought beside the militia of Antonica against the constant assault of gnolls. Over this time, he gained the friendship and trust of the Queen's own personal bodyguard, Vishra. During a break from a recent skirmish with the Darkpaw clan, Vishra called Moog over to his tent in the woodlands. Moog stooped down (human tents were not made for ogres), and sat next to his commander and friend."This letter is for you. It is a command giving you full citizenship to the city of Qeynos."Moog blinked. Even though he was fighting for this very reason, he placed the thought aside while he was in battle these many months. While his fellow fighters no longer looked upon him as the enemy, Moog still had concerns. "Why pepule in Qeynos nub attack Moog if me go in?"Vishra laughed. "Because the Queen says so! My friend, if you have my trust, you have hers. You are still sworn to the militia, but go and make a home and way for yourself inside its walls." With that, Vishra handed the document to Moog and sent him west.It did not take long for Moog to reach the city gates. The extremely friendly residents would yell and go off the side of the road as he ran - Moog could only assume they heard of his citizenship and wanted to let him pass quicker. As he reached the ivory stone walls, he looked briefly back to the east, back towards the evil that he would one day remove. He looked forward again, and walked into the city.
