I've removed the Synapse Task Force that was set for this weekend because Star, myself, and others wont be around this weekend. We'll try to stick with the schedule for the rest of the month though.

The Real History of
The Star Emperium


Space-Girl (aka Spacey) here! You may be wondering how TSE got started. No? Well I want to tell the story so take a seat! Now that I have your undivided attention, I'll take you back to the very beginning...


We've been on top of City Hall forever...

Back in the summer of 2007, I was in the Paragon Elite and feeling very creative and wanted to try my hand a creating a Super Group but I had no ideas. It wasn't long before I met the "colorful" Sovereign Starlette, who was then operating under the name "Discordiah". I may be wrong, but that's the name I remember! I was playing another character at the time as well. A Fire/Fire Blaster by the name of "Fierfly". She was growing tired of her group as well and waiting to do something different. I believe it was the Elite Mystics of the Inner Sanctum (PE and Elite Mystics were allied groups at the time). Before long, we became good associates and the ideas started getting kicked back and forth about a new group.

The original idea was that it would be and alien/space themed group, which is how we came up with the name. If you play on Virtue, you know that good names for anything are becoming more and more difficult to come up with! Once we had decided on the theme and the name, we gave birth to The Star Emperium on May 30, 2007. We had a pretty slow start, and it took us some time to really build up our numbers, but I wouldn't change the people we did get for anything. Especially those that stuck around after the die-down.

The first two members to join our ranks were Sara Nova and Aerius. I met Sara in The Hollows when I was on the low end of levels with Space-Girl. Aerius was a member of The Paragon Elite also, but I didn't realize that until may a month or so after he joined! I'm not exactly sure where we met him but I'm glad we did. He joined us the second day and he's still with us today!

After Sara and Aerius, we met the Grayles! Khera and Simon. They were running their own group and by the time we met them things were dieing down and we assimilated them into the collective! Resistance was futile. Simon became better know as Vaulkan, and Khera became Phantomania. She still was seen just as much on Khera though. Sadly, we lost Vaulkan in real life. He is still missed to this day.

We've had plenty of good people come through The Emperium. A lot of them moved on to other things. The last few people that I want to mention joined us after we had been going for a while, but even after we died down, they stuck with us. Graviton Gal (aka Grav), Savage Psyche, Imperium's Edge, and Ghost Arrow. These four we met while hanging out in our usual spot in Atlas. Conversations lead to memberships and memberships lead to good friendships.  We may not have been the biggest super group around, but we're all still good friends. Some would even refer to us a family. In spite of being one of the last to join, Graviton Gal has the most earned prestige in the group (over 800,000)! She makes me look bad!

We've been fortunate to have such a good group of people who stuck with us through the down time. Now that we're reopening the doors to TSE, I hope that we find a few more good people. I just want to thank them for all of the time they've given to us. I hope that it was all worth it to them.

Oh....

You're probably wondering why I've been highlighting the "E" every time I've written the group name. It's because we know it's misspelled and there's a reason for it. According to Starlette, it was a reference to an anime that will remain anonymous(!). They actually spelled Imperium with an E. I know. It's just wrong! It makes us pretty recognizable though. So, in that respect, I kind of like it!
