Welcome
Welcome to Aliit Solar'u
This is a site for Aliit Solar'u and VODE. have fun:)
Here is a short overview of my rp story it is not yet complete and peices are left out but r'yno would understand because of his rp story.mine takes place at the home front.

Me and R'yno have known each other since we were both born on the Aliit Solar'u asteroid colony. This Aliit were the mandalorian protectors and were the first line of defense against any invaders to the Mandalorian sector. We both had a hidden love for each other too. One day in our colony a group of trandoshans were spotted on our colony and the alarm was sounded. My Father went and R'yno and his father went. I would've gone but R'yno was older than me and I was to young to be in battle. Anyways, they went and then I saw a huge explosion out in the distance everyone saw it and knew what it meant, the mandalorians who went out were all dead. Right as we saw this Trandos jumped from tops of houses and attacked. Since all mandalorians knew how to fight, including women, so we were defending our colony since we were the last of the Solar'u protectors. I was fighting back to back with my mother. We were killing trandos left and right, I saw a huge trando come up behind me about to strike me with his lance then my mother jumped in front of me. I saw she was pierced and I attacked the trando, hacking at him till he was down on the ground. I went to my mother seeing her holding her hand to her stomach. I took it off seeing blood rushing out; she stared into my eyes trying to be strong, trying not to cry. I burst into tears knowing she was the last of my family. She looked at me sternly and said," Don't cry for me For Ganar Trattok'o Ner Ad."
"No mother no you didn't I love you and I promise I will kill every last trando that has stepped foot on this colony."
I looked down to find that her eyes no longer had the glisten of life left in them. I picked up my Beskar and went outside. I saw carnage everywhere, limbs bent unnatural ways, heads separated from their bodies, And the sad part most were the mando'ade. I saw R'yno's mother fighting fiercely for her life, letting the rage of knowing her son and husband were dead driver her Beskar and blaster shots into every trando in her path. I felt it my duty to help her as I was running to her a huge trando, probably the master hunter, ran into my path. Three things happened during that moment: I leapt into the air, Lunged at the trando with my Beskar, and the trando pounded the side of my head making me unconscious. The last things I saw was R’yno’s mom getting stabbed through the heart by the same trando…

I woke up in a room that was unfamiliar to me. I was binded in a chair facing a window. My vision was blurry but I could tell that what I was looking at was my colony. I wondered what I was doing here, then it all came back to me, R’yno leaving, the explosion, the ambush, my mother dying, the trando killing R’yno’s mother and knocking me out. I looked down at my bindings and remember the wrist blades in my armor. I activated them and ran up to a window, right at that moment the asteroid burst into flames. I stared in disbelief as I realized I was the last of the Solar’u.

                                           10 years later

“Rebel scum, do you think you can defeat the empire?”                                                                              “I already told you I am not part of the rebellion! I have no affiliation with the rebel alliance!” Of course it was a lie, I would do anything to get out of the clutches of the empire. What was worse was that a trando bounty hunter named Bossk brought me in.“Electrocute her.” Said the imperial interrogator.” Now Let’s try this one more time. Do you know why you’re here?”
“ Because…Because this trando scum caught me for a bounty of 100000000 Credits for the capture of a civilian who has committed treason against the Empire.”
(Growl)
“ Now, now no need for name calling. Tk-159 take her away. Bossk take your credits.”The stormtrooper, Tk-159 did as he was told he put Nasini in stuncuffs, and took me away down the hall, but instead of taking me to the prison cell he took me to the hangar bay of the star destroyer Relentless. I looked up at him questionably. He just stared back and pointed to an imperial-class lambada shuttle. I nodded and headed for the shuttle. I walked inside and saw other rebels inside. “There you are nas, come on we will need your skills in the turrents.” Said Krystny.Four years ago I met Krystny on Nal Hutta. She saved me from a bunch of trandoshans.

Overview of Aliit Solar'u:
Aliit Solar'u is a Mandalorian Clan on a small astroid. We are positioned as the Mandalorian Protectors and the Front line of defense in attacks to the Mandalorian system.

Overview of Mandalorians:

Early history
The Taung, the original Mandalorian species.
The Taung, the original Mandalorian species.

Originally, the Mandalorian clans were Taung from Coruscant, led by the warlord "Mandalore the First". Eventually they conquered a planet in the Outer Rim, which they named Mandalore after their leader. The Taung then took the name Mandalorians and were seen by many as the most skilled fighters in the Galaxy, thriving in battle. They were known for their use of cutting-edge weaponry and held to a strict code of honor. These Mandalorians wore crusader armor that differed from one soldier to the next.

For thousands of years after Mandalore's conquest, its new inhabitants would not venture far from the system they inhabited. It was not until the Great Sith War of 4,000 BBY that the Mandalorians would seek to expand their conquests and, in the process, become famous (and infamous) to the Galaxy at large.

Mandalorian religion

The Mandalorian religion reflected the sensibilities and values of the Mandalorians. Like the culture itself, it changed over the years, but still maintained its fundamental tenets. In ancient times, Mandalorians were intensely religious, worshipping war and taking their myths literally. However disillusionment with devastating wars of conquest led to a re-interpretation of the stories as parables, to confer philosophical meaning rather than fact.

In Mandalorian myth, the sloth-god Arasuum eternally fought the destroyer god Kad Ha'rangir. This represented the constant struggle between stagnation, and the opportunity for change that stemmed from destruction. Every Mandalorian warrior who died supposedly joined an army in the afterlife; there they defended their wives and children, who lived on in an enduring, peaceful homestead. This was viewed as the only place where Mandalorians could finally settle down permanently.

Later generations moved away from a belief in a literal heaven to emphasize the idea of the manda. The manda was described as "a combination of the collective state of being, the essence of being Mandalorian, and an oversoul." To be part of it, a Mandalorian must understand their culture and truly live out its ideals. Otherwise, they would be a dar'manda–someone who was ignorant of their heritage, and would have no soul and no afterlife. This was regarded as a fate worse than death. This emphasis on culture helped to preserve the identity of the Mandalorians even when scattered across the galaxy.

[edit] Aspects of Mandalorian mythology

  • Arasuum - the sloth god, personification of stagnation, idleness, and consumption
  • Kad Ha'rangir - the destroyer god, who forced change and growth upon the universe

Almost three thousand years after the conquest of Mandalore, the Mandalorians wandered the Galaxy far from their home systems hoping to begin a new crusade against worthy foes. This brought them to the Empress Teta System during the period when the Krath had gained control of the system.

The Mandalorian clans became allied with the Sith after their leader, Mandalore the Indomitable, was bested in combat by the fallen Jedi turned Sith Lord, Ulic Qel-Droma. Mandalore pledged loyalty to Qel-Droma who in turn was apprentice to Dark Lord Exar Kun and in their name the Mandalorians laid waste to countless worlds in the years that followed, gaining the enmity of the Republic, and, most crucially, the Jedi.

Ten years after the defeat of Exar Kun, dozens of Mandalorians were unjustly arrested and executed after a psychotic bounty hunter named Jigger Wraith preyed upon innocents using rare Mandalorian weaponry. It was during these times that the Mandalorians would reform under "Mandalore the Ultimate" and begin constructing a large assortment of forces from their scattered forces. They would reconstruct defenses on Dxun as well as other Mandalorian-held worlds in order to build a mass stockpile of equipment and vessels. They would eventually be approached by the Sith and persuaded into attacking the Republic for the honor of facing "a worthy foe".

The Neo-Crusaders were led by "Mandalore the Ultimate" and started the Mandalorian Wars. The Neo-Crusaders' armor was more advanced and uniform-like than their old armor. Canderous Ordo, who would later become Mandalore, wore a unique suit of silver and black armor.

After their defeat in the Mandalorian Wars at the hands of the Jedi Revan and Malak, the Mandalorians went into a long decline. Revan destroyed their stockpiles of weaponry and battle droids, and exiled the clans into the Outer Rim. One group settled on Tatooine, but apparently lost contact with other Mandalorians over time.

Some Mandalorians were unable to accept the terms of their defeat, and turned to piracy, brigandage, and mercenary work – e.g. Sherruk's group, who became bandits and troubled the settlers of Dantooine in 3,956 BBY. Canderous Ordo, who fought side by side with a redeemed Revan against Darth Malak during the Jedi Civil War, later claimed the rank of Mandalore and led a small remnant of his followers on the moon of Dxun. It was again Ordo, who traveled the universe with the Jedi Exile, and gathered the scattered Mandalorians who became mercenaries. Ordo was also a key in defeating the Sith Lord Darth Nihilus on the battleship Ravager.

FAMILY AND WOMEN:
Family was very important to the Mandalorians, yet when compared to most other cultures, they held very different beliefs as to what constitutes a familial relationship. Despite the fact that fidelity and chastity before marriage was highly emphasized, they were unconcerned about parentage. Believing that aliit iru'shya tal'din (Family is More Than Bloodlines), it was common for orphaned children, and even adults, to be brought into the culture. The ceremony for adoption of a new Mandalorian is named gai bal manda, which means literally "name and soul". Then, there remains no difference for the Mandalorians between a "real" son and an adopted one.

The children were usually raised by their mothers up to their third birthday, and then by their fathers to the art of war until they become adults. Mandalorians were considered adults at an age of thirteen years, where their sons would take a trial (the verd'goten, the coming of age) turning them into warriors and men. This contributed to the fact that Mandalorians married and settled down earlier than most cultures. Family bonds were a large part of the Mandalorian culture, and as a result, they felt more comfortable around each other than they did around strangers.

Mandalorian women were expected to have the same combat skills as men, in order to defend their homes when the men were away. If they didn't have children to raise, they fought alongside men on the battlefield. The ideal Mandalorian woman was physically strong and resilient.

"In five millennia, the Mandalorians fought with and against a thousand armies on a thousand worlds. They learned to speak as many languages and absorbed weapons technology and tactics from every war. And yet, despite the overwhelming influence of alien cultures, and the absence of a true home world and even species, their own language not only survived but changed little; their way of life and their philosophy remained untouched; and their ideals and sense of family, of identity of nation, were only strengthened. Armor is not what makes a Mandalorian. Armor is simply a manifestation of an impenetrable, unassailable heart."

[edit] Clone Wars: Clone Troopers

The clones of Jango Fett.
The clones of Jango Fett.

With Jango Fett being the clone donor, many elements of the Mando'ade culture made it into the Grand Army of the Republic ranks. This was boosted by the Cuy'val Dar, and Mandalorian training sergeants like Kal Skirata and Walon Vau.

Kal Skirata trained the Null ARCs, and they viewed him as a father. Kal taught the Mandalorian culture and language to the Null ARCs, as well as the Clone commandos. Eventually, the language and culture began to spread through the ranks of clones, and warrior chants like Vode An and Rage of the Shadow Warriors became commonly sung as a morale booster, although some clones did not appear to display appreciation of their Mandalorian heritage.

Throughout the war, the clones would be faced with many gruelling situations, and often took heavy casualties, despite their Mandalorian training.

However, following the rise of the Galactic Empire, the transition of clone troopers into Imperial stormtroopers, the ranks of the troopers were joined with other clones and regular recruits. It is unlikely that the Empire continued to recruit former Mandalorians and Death Watch soldiers to train the clones of any template, thus future Fett clones grew up without their template's Mandalorian heritage and the once pure Jango Fett clone army lost its sense of being Mandalorian.

However, many retired clone commandos and troopers from the Clone Wars married and moved to one of the neighboring planets of Mandalore. Eventually, this planet was viewed as one of the homeworlds of the Mandalorians and was often used for training.

[edit] Rebirth of the Mandalorians

One clone trooper, an elite ARC trooper named Alpha-Ø2 and nicknamed "Spar," ended up going rogue and changing the Mandalorians forever.

Because Jango took part in training the ARCs, Alpha-Ø2 had memories of Jango Fett. He went to Mandalore and started rebuilding the Mandalorian supercommandos into the Mandalorian Protectors from soldiers of local police forces and even former members of the Death Watch. Alpha-Ø2 became Mandalore the Resurrector, leading his men alongside the Confederacy of Independent Systems.

Among his troopers were Tobbi Dala and future Mandalore Fenn Shysa, both who believed Alpha-Ø2 to be Boba Fett, an unaltered clone of Jango. In 20 BBY, the Mandalorians were defeated at the Battle of New Holstice. Shortly afterwards, a number of them were massacred (apparently by their allies, the Geonosians, for some unknown reason) at Zaadja. Near the end of the Clone Wars, the Mandalorians embarked upon a devastating blitzkrieg, attacking several important military targets, including Kamino and New Bornalex. Following the Mission to Norval II, only Spar, Fenn Shysa, and Tobbi Dala survived.

The Galactic Empire enslaved the planet Mandalore. Fenn Shysa and Tobbi Dala led a resistance group until 3 ABY, when Dala sacrificed himself to destroy the City of Bone and the Suprema. The Mandalorian people rallied behind Mandalore Fenn Shysa and rose up against Grand Admiral Miltin Takel.

The Mandalorians later assisted the Alliance of Free Planets during the Nagai-Tof Invasion following a Nagai attack on Mandalorian space, participating in space battle above Endor. The Mandalorians later helped the Nagai drive the Tof off Nagi. During the Battle of Mindor, Shysa's forces played a decisive role in defeating Lord Shadowspawn. Despite offers to join the New Republic, Shysa declined, choosing independence for his people.

"Home is where the armor is"
―Mando saying

Mando'a, sometimes referred to as Mandalorian, was the language spoken by the Mandalorian warrior culture and the Taungs of old.
