The Rift of Nurz Ghashu is a level 50, 12-man raid.  It's located in the NE corner of Angmar.

Much of the text for this guide was original contributed by Aldranath.  This is mostly a reformat of his effort 

Here is a list of requirements for going to the Rift. Some are for everyone, some are boss-specific, and some are class-specific.

I. Consumable Items
A. Required Items
1. Hope Tokens (at least 2, preferably more)
2. Health/Power Potions
3. Anti-Wound Potions
II. Class Specific Requirements
A. Burglars
B. Hunters
1. Required Equipment
a. Balrog - Beleriand Bow
2. Recommended Equipment
a. Bow Chants
b. Traps
3. Recommended Traits
1. Rain of Thorns
C. Captains
D. Champions
E. Guardians
F. Minstrels
1. Legendary Traits
a. Pre-Balrog: Fellowship's Heart and Rally! are recommended
b. Balrog: Hopeful Heart and Rally! are expected
G. Lore-Masters
III. Boss Specific
A. Balrog
1. 2000 Destiny Points
2. 2 or more Brilliant/Glorious Hope Tokens (helpful to have some 30 minute tokens)
3. Shadow mitigation armor/traits are recommended.

This is, without a doubt, one of the harder parts of the rift. This isn't simply because you've not experienced anything quite like it previously in the game, though that would be a good reason. It's just very hard. Though it's not hard for reasons that aren't apparent, as many of the abilities capable of wiping you have audio/voice-over/visual cues attached.

Welcome to the inside of an active volcano, Middle Earth style. Hope you brought a lot of hunters, because arrows are IMPORTANT to stop the volcanic vents. This room is the source of a lot of hard feelings. Follow instructions exactly and you will not be yelled at.
