AGW reports that a banner ad at WoWHead is infected with a keylogger. WoWHead is working to resolve the problem but the ad is embedded with a redirect through several layers of affiliates.

Several people recommend using Firefox with the ad blocking add on to lower chances of infection (and account hijacking).


Tips for safety:

* Keep your computer operating system updated with the most current patches;
* Use a software firewall in addition to your hardware firewall;
* Use an Antivirus program and scan regularly;
* Use at least one anti-spyware program;
* Consider installing and using Firefox, and configuring it with a script-blocking add-on;
* Scan your downloads with an AV program before installing;
* Use extreme caution when following any WoW related link ending in .cn

Do take care when downloading addons, especially from portal websites. The grief it takes to restore your toon is not worth it.
