The reality dysfunction
3 years ago Next Gen was founded in a daring act of time manipulation, rewriting 30 years of history, erasing a war between mutants and humanity, writing a new timeline of peacefull co-existance and guartding it against threats from all sides. Neither the military might of the fanatics of genetic purity called the Angels of Man nor the murderously powerful mutant fanatics of the superiority cult Purgatory could stand against the heroes of the Tower. From Arachnos to the Praetorian invasion we defeated every enemy with a mix if daring heroics, ruthless aggression and the attitude that there is nothing we cannot achieve with the application of future science, genetic powers and perhaps some duct tape and spit. We have rewritten time, warped reality to destroy the mighty mutant fortress known as the Ark, revived the dead, tamed the reality fire and established a legacy based on refuges from a mirrorworld.
Yet now for the first time ever we face a threat that can’t be stopped, neither by power, nor trickery. Our own deeds come back to haunt us. We have broken and reshaped our reality in until it started to tear on the edges. Perhaps that is what allowed the Rikti and Praetorin invasions but even those threats pale in comparison to what we face now. When Grim Ichor used a mix of magic and science from the future to resurrect the original founder Galaxyan we finally went too far. The last drop tore the fabric of reality apart and it started to unravel. At first the signs were sublte and life went on but now we know the damage is irreversible. The damage will spread until our whole reality breaks apart by November the 30th.
Like a wave of energy this reality dysfunction will pass over Paragon and destroy everything we know and love.
