Quezan sits at the table and eagerly takes his share of the food. He nods enthusiastically to Xandius.
“All my friends are important to me. Lady Draggy is also kind and nice and sweet and stuff. She has soft eyes, silver-white hair, one of those dragonmarks here on her cheek, and is about so high.”
Points smiles at the looks his friends give the room. “Friends, friends, No, we are not making a side trip to Breland and I will gladly reveal my tale of how this lovely ship came to be and into my possession over our evening meal. Please allow me to maintain the secret until I can tell all at once, rather than repeat it numerous times. If you are finished please come out this side door and up the spiral stairs portside fore-ward.”
“Deriaz, important people like to be reminded that they are important, even when they are not. Not all of the rooms are this finely appointed sadly. Most are nice, however and many offer some wonderful views. Speaking of which, up the stairs is the Royal Deck. I think you will find it quite interesting…”
When the ‘tourists’ arrive at the top of the stairs they find a colorful tent, forward the open weapons deck with 8 sailors manning siege weapons, and a view of the decks below. Points nods at the Weapons crew leader and points out the railing between the weapons and Royal deck.
“Please do not try to cross the railing. It is defended. We are on alert because Pirates like to take ships coming in and out of ports. The alert will continue until tomorrow. All of the Weapons or Battle decks are armed and protected by magic.” Taking a gold piece he flips it toward the crew leader. It obviously hits an invisible barrier and there is much sparking and electrical discharge before it then falls on this side of the railing. The melted gold smokes on the deck.
“I hope this display is sufficient. When you have taken your fill of the air up here, meet me back where we started and we will continue the tour.” Points turns and walks away from the smoking remnants of gold.
