OOC Description:

The Council of Eriador is a Heavy Role Playing Alliance that is invite only. Anyone can nominate a kinship for acceptance, even if they are outside of the council, but the council members will vote on the applying Kinship before acceptance. The group hopes to unite many Heavy RP kinships into one community so to better coordinate multi kinship roleplay as well as be a community for RP'ers to find the heavy RP kinship they are looking for. The Council itself will be composed of the leaders of each kinship, and their designated representatives. Current Active Kinships are Wardens of the North, Order of the Silver Eye, Red Arrows, Baruk Khazad, and the Waywatchers of Cardolan. If you are a member of a Heavy RP Kinship that would like to participate in this council, please check the Kinship Nomination section in the forums.

Our Goals:
  • First and foremost, we wish to help bring together the Landroval community and encourage immersive role play.
  • Host large server events such as Role Player's Recruitment Fairs.
  • The Council will serve other purposes as well. It will be an easy way to gather groups for raids, large role-play story-lines, and even PvP. Of course, the role play is our primary focus, but PvP and raids can easily be part of role playing and story-lines.
  • We wish to serve the Landroval role playing community by providing new and old players with lore, hosting recruitment fairs and directing them to RP kinships, and by welcoming them into a warm and fantastic community.
How does this alliance tie in on a Role Playing level?
  • Well, for one, it is based on the actual storyline of Shadows of Angmar itself. While the fellowship prepares to journey to Mordor, the Free Peoples of Eriador unite to defend Eriador and rid them of the oppression caused by the Witch King and the evil servants of Angmar.
  • Consider the Council of Eriador similar to the Council of Elrond deciding on the course of action for the one ring. In this case, the Council consists of the kinships defending Eriador and they will instead discuss plans for the defense of Eriador and assaults against the Angmarim. There is much more to it than that, however. Kinships can prepare their own creative storylines, and If they wish, they can involve allied kins with the storyline as well. The Council acts as direction for the cooperation and coordination of multi-kinship story-lines and role-play. It also serves as a crossroad for alliance and multi-kinship communications.

As of today, there has been a new forum open for the preperation and planning of the Alliance Storyline, Role Playing Events that will reflect on the epic storyline of the alliance and etc. Please post any thoughts, ideas, or suggestions!
