Welcome to the bulletins for The Bounders of the Shire, Addernotch Station!
We Bounders have protected the Shire for so long no one can recall when the first Bounders donned their cap and button.  It's likely they were just the same folks who watched after everyone else on the long journey from the Misty Mountains, ages ago, when the first Hobbits arrived to settle the Shire.

And what with all the trouble brewing in our time not only are Bounders more needed than ever, but some are even stationed outside, in the Outer Bounds -- some as far into the Beyonds as the Misty Mountains, back from whence we came so long ago! 

We're also folk who understand that life isn't just about patrolling the bounds or aiding Free Peoples allies in the far flung Beyonds.  We also make time for the finer things in life, like parties. And Hiders n' Seekers. Concerts, and pub crawls! Picnics! And of course, fishing, which some of us take quite seriously.

If you're a respectable Hobbit...
and would like to sign up, take a look around the bulletins to familiarize yourself with our our Bylaws and organization (exceptions have been made for non-hobbits who love the Shire too).  Peek about at our long established but ever evolving lore! And drop in an application.

The Bounder Museum of Shire Antiquities!
The museum is at 5 Harrow road, Addernotch, in the Shire. Being just down the road from Bounder Station made it convenient to help maintain... and so we do! The galleries are only open on select nights an' parties, but feel free to visit the sculpture garden on the grounds outside anytime. Gallery nights and tours will be announced. The museum hosted Ales and Tales on October 4th ('10) an' since had numerous grand balls.  Stay tuned for a gala night an' raffle comin' up after Yule!

According to twitter, there are no game updates either -- the downtime is purely system maintenance

At first I liked the sowflakes, but they can be laggy for lotro when you pull up the website while in game I noticed :)
