First off, thank you for everything you do! I absolutely love this page you put together for us (I definitely use the heck out of it). my test site

Ok, my first question is how to add a footer background image? Unless I missed it and GP has a simple way of doing it, I can only add text with a colored background? I would prefer to have an image that matches my pagewrapper to give a smooth finish. I tried finding it on the help-site but I couldn't find anything.

And my second question is, where did my banner go? I don't know if I messed up some CSS or what but I can't seem to get a banner to work with GPs control panel.

Thank you again!

Hiya!

The header is missing because it looks like there is custom scripting added to the banner area (Control Panel > Custom HTML & Script > Banner Area). If you put something there, I think it overrides the banner builder.

As for the footer, you can just add something using CSS. A recent change renamed the footer area to have a class name of "gp5-footer", so do  something like this:
.gp5-footer {
    width: 100%;
    height: 150px;
    background: url(my-background-image.jpg) center center no-repeat;
}

Thank you so much you are amazing!

Now I just have two more things! Is there a way to get rid of the gap between the Nav bar and banner so that it looks like they are one?
Lastly, there is a gap between the footer and pagewrapper. How can I remove it so that they are seemless?

Again thank you so much! And for the quick response.

Ok try this css:
.PageWrapper > .mTop { margin-top: 0; } /* move navbar up */
.ContentWrapperTable { margin-bottom: 0; } /* remove spacing at bottom of content */
.gp5-footer { background-position: top center; padding: 0; } /* move background image to the top and remove padding */

Did you add that css to the custom css (Control Panel > Custom HTML & Script > CustomCSS > CSS Additions to Standard)?

I did then I removed but I've added it back so you can see what I mean. I just copy and pasted it into that section.

Hmm, I don't see the css anywhere. I went ahead and just applied to your site, add me as a designer and let me look at it... and speed up this process

Ok, I've changed the css to:

#phTopBarNavTop + .mTop, .TabBar.mTop { margin-top: 0; }
.ContentWrapperTable { margin-bottom: 0; }
.gp5-footer { background-position: top center; padding: 0; margin-top: 0; }

I hope that is the look you wanted!

For some reason the ">" in ".PageWrapper > .mTop" was messing things up, but the above code should work around it
