IS there any way to make the Character text. (tag) on a forum post a different color/make it stand out. for different ranks of posters? i havent found anything on any other forum. this is my last chance.

Hi Adamaldris!

Right now I think the only thing that can be done is to check the rank of the person reading the forums. So, I don't think you can colorize posts by rank.

But what you can do is colorize the person's title - this will be a bit painful depending on how many people there are in that rank.

Click on the Member Admin link at the top of the page > Find the name, click Edit > Modify the title using HTML

Then in your custom css (Control Panel > Custom HTML & Script > Custom CSS > CSS Additions to Standard) add the rank colors:
.superadmin { color: red; }
.officer { color: orange; }
.council { color: yellow; }
.member { color: green; }
.associate { color: purple; }
.public { color: white; } /* probably not necessary to include this one */
or something like that.

If you need something else, I'm going to recommend you make a feature request over in the admin forums.
