Hey Mottie, my guildies don't like the chat box widget so I've been trying to find another one. They all have the same instructions to paste the html code into a Free Form Text/HTML widget, but they never seem to work. Instead of seeing the chat box once I hit "save" you see the code that I pasted into the Free Form Text/HTML. How do I fix this so you can actually see the chat box on my webpage?

I really don't want just a link either. I want my members to be able to chat right on the page. Thanks!

Hi Ogg!

Do you have a particular chat widget in mind? Here is a list of 10 chat widgets. Once you find one you like, put the code on your page and I'll take a look to see why it isn't working. I was also thinking that maybe you might want the chat widget to open up in a popup window? If so, just hollar.

I'd like the chat to be right on the same window as the homepage if it can be. I tried using Zoho chat because that looked like the best to me, but I am not sure if I should use an embedded page widgit for this or Free Form Text/HTML.

When I tried using the embedded page my homepage had a "cannot connect to the site" were the widgit was, and when I used Free Form Text/HTML it just showed what I pasted into the widget instead of the chatbox.

Oh, when you post code into a Free Form Text/HTML widget, you need to switch the editor into <> HTML mode (button in the bottom left). If there are multiple script tags, then you will most likely need to switch the editor into RAW mode (upper right corner).

Well, I already knew about the hmtl thing but not about the RAW mode. I'll see if that fixes it.

Huh, it seems I've had another problem... I've tried adding the same widgit to the forum page so people wouldn't have to have multiple tabs opened to chat, and I did the same exact thing as I did for the homepage yet it won't work when I try it on the forum page. Any suggestions how to fix this, or why it's doing this? Thanks!
