I was wondering if there is any way to have any kind of divider separating a written forum post from the users signature/"edited" tag/"characters" list.

I have looked everywhere but can't seem to find anything about it, its not encouraging that these forums don't have it either.

Hi Durtok!
You haven't found it in these forums because I never thought about it and no one, until you, asked me how to do it ducky

Adding Divider Images to the Forums

GuildPortal admin site link to original post

CSS
Add the following CSS to your Custom CSS (Control Panel > Custom HTML & Script > Custom CSS > CSS Additions to Standard tab). Make sure the CSS code is enabled before saving.
/* Add a divider above the signature */
.MessageSignature {
 background: url(http://www.axiomfiles.com/Files/278466/theme_divider.png) top center no-repeat;
 padding-top: 30px;
}
/* Add a divider above the Character List */
.MessageToonContainer1 {
 background: url(http://www.axiomfiles.com/Files/278466/theme_divider.png) top center no-repeat;
 padding-top: 30px;
}
Customizing
  • Modify the URL in orange to change the divider image.
  • Adjust the padding-top value (in red) to be slightly taller than the divider image.

Thanks a ton, that should make things a little cleaner.
What you put into this site is fantastic, keep up the awesome work!

EDIT: This is working perfectly as it should, though I should also ask. Is there a way to lock the sig/char list to the bottom of the post box. For instance, when someone has an avatar though writes a one line post.

Hi Durtok!

I had to mess around a bit with the CSS, but I think I got it... Try this:
/* Position the character panel relative to the entire post */
.PostItem1 {
 position: relative;
}
/* Add a divider above the Character List */
.MessageToonContainer1 {
 background: url(http://www.axiomfiles.com/Files/278466/theme_divider.png) top center no-repeat;
 padding-top: 30px;
 position: absolute;
 bottom: 30px;
 right: 0;
}
