Hi Mottie, this is what I did with the code in box 2 of my video box:  </select> <span id="box2"><select onchange="setVideoBox(this.value)">
<option selected="true" value="blank">Select a video</option>
<option value="The'>http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ry2dB1X7FKU">The Guild -Arcane Transmuter</option>
<option value="The'>http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HQE-XwFO-cY">The Guild - AddOns</option>
<option value="The'>http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rSRjzqNcPzE">The Guild - Crafting</option>
<option value="The'>http://www.xfire.com/video/178d4e/">The Guild -Trial FA run</option>
<option>The Guild -</option>
</select></span>

The one for Xfire is copied post the "Embed scr" but all I get is a white box on that video, but I put Xfire on home page by copying the entire embed code and pasting it in HTML and it works as a click target link. I know I'm doing something wrong, but still learning all this program stuff and video too lol !!
Thx LG

The actual Embed src is:  <object width="425" height="301"><embed src="http://media.xfire.com/swf/embedplayer.swf" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="301" flashvars="videoid=178d4e"></embed></object>
So on this I would just take this part:    "http://media.xfire.com/swf/embedplayer.swf" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="
 and paste it in like this?
 <option value='http://media.xfire.com/swf/embedplayer.swf" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen='
I know I'm close to making it work just need to fine tune it some !!
Thx LG

Hi LG58!

First off, the code you posted (shown below) is very messed up.... there shouldn't be this part in the value "The'>", and you shouldn't be adding videos into the "box2" area... I'm guessing that none of the videos are working?

The code should look like this (leave box2 alone):
<span id="box2"><select><option>&lt;- select</option></select></span>

<div id="group1"><!--
 <option value="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ry2dB1X7FKU">ROM Tutorial - Arcane Transmuter</option>
 <option value="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HQE-XwFO-cY">ROM Tutorial - AddOns</option>
 <option value="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rSRjzqNcPzE">ROM Tutorial - Crafting & Gathering</option>
 <option value="http://media.xfire.com/swf/embedplayer.swf?videoid=178d4e">The Guild - Trial FA run</option>
--></div>
Xfire Embed Code
  • Start with the Xfire embed code:

    <object width="425" height="301"><embed src="http://media.xfire.com/swf/embedplayer.swf" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="301" flashvars="videoid=178d4e"></embed></object>

  • Look in the embed code for two parts (red and orange above):

    • Embeded SWF: http://media.xfire.com/swf/embedplayer.swf

    • flashvars: videoid=178d4e

  • Now start with a blank video box option
    <option value=""></option>
  • Now add:

    • The embed swf (red) plus a question mark (bold) plus the flash variable code (orange) into the value area:
    • The add the video title inside the option tag (in green)
      <option value="http://media.xfire.com/swf/embedplayer.swf?videoid=178d4e">The Guild - Trial FA run</option>

If you want to post code in the forums you have to change the tag names for HTML, body and script to italics with the editor. I also colored them blue so you can see what I changed in the sample below.
<html>
 <head>
  <script src="http://somewhere.com/somescript.js" type="text/javascript"></script>
</head>
 <body>
 </body>
</html>

I got it working Mottie, I just took my time and looked back on all our posts and your program code and found problem or what I did wrong. Your code for my Xfire was this:
<option value="http://media.xfire.com/swf/embedplayer.swf?videoid=178d4e">The Guild - Trial FA run</option>
But in previous posts you showed to change " to ' so I did that and came up with this:
<option value='http://media.xfire.com/swf/embedplayer.swf?videoid=178d4e'>The Guild - Trial FA run</option>
And this did the trick, thx again Mottie for all your help !!

Wow, hey Mottie the code from Video 3 keeps changing, I even tried like 3 or 4 times to delete it, then recopy from your site code in HTML and repaste in my box. But everytime I do this it starts out looking right, but then this line of code changes everytime I save it!!
From this:
<select onchange="setSecondSelect(this.value)">
<option value="blank" selected="selected">Select a group</option>
To this:
<select onchange="setSecondSelect(this.value)">
<option selected="true" value="blank">Select a group</option>

Then it clumps together like this:
</script>
<div style="text-align: center;" id="videoContainer"><select onchange="setsize(this.value)">
<option selected="true" value="1">1x</option>
<option value="1.25">1.25x</option>
<option value="1.5">1.5x</option>
<option value="1.75">1.75x</option>
<option value="2">2x</option>
</select> <select onchange="setSecondSelect(this.value)">
<option selected="true" value="blank">Select a group</option>
<option value="group1">The Guild</option>
<option value="group2">Muppets</option>
<option value="group3">Chad Vader</option>
<option value="group4">Music Videos</option>
</select> <span id="box2"><select>
<option selected="true">&lt;- select</option>
</select></span>
What do you think is happening?
Thx LG

I tried again and left it all your videos and it still does same, but your videos all work so gonna try to edit it and see what happens!
LG
PS; Yup, I just edited it with new titles for each catagory and pasted first video in and it works. So gonna try to do rest then I'll try Xfire once again and see if it will work lol!!
I'll post wether it works or not to update, but so far so good !!
LG
Well, it seems to working good for now lol, I'll let you know if something comes up on it I think the change in orginal code in edit don't hurt it, but I'll keep an eye on it lol !!
Thx LG
