Ok, I know how to do signatures, and insert icons if I want.  How do you get the inserts under your posted name?  Like mine says "The Enchanted Flame" and Fearless Phantom's says "Man of Mystery" under his, but I have not seen anywhere to insert that sort of thing in all the time I've used Guild Portal.

Um... those insets are done by me.
If you'd like a different one, just let me know.
It's not something that can be done without Administrative rights...and the program seriously discourages us having more than one or twoAdministrators.

When a character registers on this site (so that you  can log inas that character, post messages as that character, send email as thatcharacter), a request is sent to the Site Administrators (which areFearless Phantom and  Lady Aid at this writing).

The Site Administrator then sets that character's status as member, associate, or officer -- and can write the afore-discussed "descriptiveinset" that appears in the left column of a posting, generally underthe character's name and over the character's "avatar" picture.

I'm happy to consider suggestions from any member for descriptiveinsets for their characters or for other characters.  Quotations, clever phrases, double meanings -- as long as they are reasonably shortand in good taste -- are acceptable.  Remember, this will pop upevery time someone reads one of your posts, so it's good to havesomething that won't become irritating over time.

I'm happy to change insets any time; you don't have to be stuck withthe same one if you don't want to be.  Just drop me a note.

Even though my time has been limited as of late, anyone can drop me a note as well.
