About your character
Character name: Caanus
Are you dual-spec and/or would you be willing to respec?
Main spec is protection, dual spec is holy. I'm willing to change the secondary (Holy) spec because even though I do enjoy healing, I also have an 80 resto druid that scratches that itch pretty well.
If you are willing to fill another role, do you currently have the gear to support it? Include your stats for alternate specs not available on the armory.
I'm willing to fill whatever role as I have 4 80's. My paladin has the best gear with my resto/feral druid a fairly close second. My mage and warlock, however, have been somewhat neglected I'm sad to say.
Gear (link from the Armory, warcrafter.net, or Ctprofiles):
Briefly describe your usual DPS or threat rotation and when (or if) it varies. If you are a healer, tell us about your healing style.
I wouldn't say I use a strict rotation, I don't think it's a good idea to get stuck in a rut too much. But for the most part I'll open up with a trusty
Avenger's shield followed by SoR for a little extra threat before laying down the disco floor (Consecration). I generally use Seal of Command if I'm pulling packs of trash (more than three at a time anyway) and switch to Vengeance for 3 or less or on a boss. Other than that I throw whatever is off cool down making sure I have Divine Plea going and trying to keep Holy Shield up as much as possible.
Bonus points for a WWS parse of you performing well:
Hmmm...no bonus points for me.
What consumables do you bring to an average raid?
My alchemist keeps me well stocked with flasks of the stone wyrm and I generally have plenty of fish feasts on me (which I make myself! Try the salmon...it's tasty!)
List your relevant Wrath raiding experience (bosses killed):
I've completed Naxx 10 and had a good look at the inside of Ulduar. I know, my experience is lacking. My former guild (Dark Paladins) was a great group, but shortly after we started doing Ulduar a large portion of our core raiders quit WoW. No drama, they were just done playing the game and decided to move on. After that the raids stopped. I may lack experience with the newer instances but I know my class(es), I know how to play (fire bad....) and, more importantly, I'm good at following directions of people who have been there before. I'm also just nerdy enough to perform actual *research* on boss fight strategies prior to runs.
Do you want to bring any alts with you? (Note: your alt(s) must be at least level 20 to warrant an invite.)
If you need/want 'em, I'll bring 'em. Like I said before I have a Resto/Feral druid, Mage, and a Warlock all at 80. A smattering of others including a Shaman I'm working on that's currently 65. Yes....I'm an Alt-Aholic. I level them mostly to have easy access to professions. I have a max level Miner, herbalist, skinner, alchemist, inscriptionist, enchanter, tailor, leatherworker and almost have my jewelcrafter up there. About you
Please review our raiding schedule and indicate what days you can attend. If there are any raids you can partially make, indicate that as well. Times are EST (server time).
Wednesday 9:00 pm - 1:00 am: Yes *
Sunday 9:00 pm - 1:00 am: Yes *
Monday 9:00 pm - 1:00 am: Yes *
* I can make any of these raid slots, but more than likely could only start at 9 on two of them. I try not to spend too much time on line
before 10pm in order to spend that time with my family.
Do you have vent? A mic?
Yes, and Yes.
Are you over 18? Or can lie well enough we’re not going to catch you out?
I am over 18 and have the receding hair line to prove it.
Maturity as measured in kittens:
Why do you want to join Bacchanalia? Give us something more than the stock, “I want to raid,” because no shit. Why choose us?
Afadra was a member of Dark Paladins and is an excellent player. I respect her opinion so figure you guys must be doing something right.
It also helps that your raiding schedule fits my somewhat oddball schedule almost perfectly.
Past guilds (including imaginary ones):
Reason(s) for leaving your old guild(s):
After the core raiding members left WoW, the guild started to slowly dwindle. For the past few months, quite often I'm the only member on line anymore. I think I see maybe three other members on from time to time and never all at once.
Are you applying to other guilds (including imaginary ones)?
Do you know anyone in Bacchanalia?
Tell us about yourself:
I'm older, married, with 2 little girls. Been playing WoW since before burning crusade came out and gaming in general since the time we loaded games using a cassette tape deck from Sears. I'm a system administrator for a living and reside in southern Michigan (where I'm currently freezing my tail off). When I'm not playing WoW at night I'm spending time with my girls so I'm generally not on line much on the weekends. Other interests include movies, Guitar Hero/Rock Band (though my wife is admittedly better than me on guitar), long walks on the beach and a good stout from the local microbrewery.
