About your character

Are you applying for a social invite or as a progression raider?

-Progression. I always choose the option first in the alphabet.

Character name: Gravystains

Class: Warcock

If hunter, please note that in addition to your other duties, you will also be the guild scapegoat, taking the blame for incidents including, but not limited to, the tanks dying from lack of healing, cloth-wearing classes body-aggroing trash, and us running out of booze.

Race: Human til cata, then Worgen

If gnome, expect to be juggled and/or turned into dinner. Hungry druid is hungry!

Spec: Destruction/Demonology

Are you dual-spec and/or would you be willing to respec?

-No, I have managed to merge Destro and Demo into one all-powerful fishing spec. I keep a busy eye on all the main lock forums and will respec when changes/gear mean a bigger dps yield or overall better raiding spec.

If you are willing to fill another role, do you currently have the gear to support it? Include your stats for alternate specs not available on the armory.

Gear (link from the Armory, warcrafter.net, or Ctprofiles):

http://www.wowarmory.com/character-sheet.xml?r=Durotan&cn=Gravystains

Briefly describe your usual DPS or threat rotation and when (or if) it varies. If you are a healer, tell us about your healing style.

-Destro - Immo > conflag> chaos bolt > incinerate filler
-Demo - maintain immo/corr. spam shadowbolt unless molten core procs, then incinerate x3, under 35% switch to soulfire in place of sb/inc. blow meta in accordance with optimal time in fight.

Bonus points for a WWS parse of you performing well:

"Gravystains is the best lover I've ever had." -Martha Stewart

What consumables do you bring to an average raid?

-Flask of the Frost Wyrm, heal/mana pots, Toy Train Set, Steam Tonk, Rough Arrows, haste pots, etc.

List your relevant Wrath raiding experience (bosses killed):

-Everything but Lich King

Do you want to bring any alts with you? (Note: your alt(s) must be at least level 20 to warrant an invite.)

-I have my pally and have an up-and-coming hunter.

About you

Have you read our guild rules?

-Yes, I have maintained the order of facing Glenn Beck's residence and praying 7 times a day since i joined a few months ago. I also have the I.V. machine and the 55 gallon drum (plastic drum) of McCormick's vodka.

Please review our raiding schedule and indicate what days you can attend. If there are any raids you can partially make, indicate that as well. Times are EST (server time).

-For the next several months at least, I can raid anytime.

Do you have vent? A mic?

-Vent, mic, tube sock, all ready to go.

Are you over 18? Or can lie well enough we’re not going to catch you out?

-I'm mid-20s and making it look good.

Maturity as measured in kittens:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kvk3HyGVwrM

Why do you want to join Bacchanalia? Give us something more than the stock, “I want to raid,” because no shit. Why choose us?

-Brittany invited me here when I got tired of my old server, don't care to join Ephemera or Chimera for various reasons. Guild seems like it could potentially be a good fit for me once I get a little more acquainted with my guildies (physically).

Past guilds (including imaginary ones):

from the beginning....

Ars Draconis (Staghelm) A (Officer)
Knights Who Say Ni (Staghelm) A (Raider)
Nox Incurro (Staghelm) A (Raider)
Eternal Power (Staghelm) A (Raider)

Attrition (Area 52) H (Gm)
Circle of Something (Area 52) H (Raider)
Vicarious (Area 52) H (Raider)

Nixon is Still Alive (Kilrogg) H (Officer)
some guild that merged with Ruin (Kilrogg) H (Raider)
Onara (Kilrogg) A (lvling)

Bacchanalia (Durotan) A (scapegoat)

Reason(s) for leaving your old guild(s):

I'll try to keep this short...

Staghelm - left Ars Draconis because it was a complete casual guild, wanted to raid. Got to see MC, ZG and BWL with Knights, then all the raiders left and we formed our own guild who's name i can't remember. They hit a ceiling and I joined Nox Incurro, saw aq40 and naxx40. Wound up in Eternal Power with some friends and really saw the guild fall off in competitive raiding between vanilla wow and BC. Decided I wanted to go Horde, moved to Area 52 and started fresh.

Area 52 - founded Attrition with my gf and a few close friends. stated as a lvling guild that targeted experienced raiders who were rerolling on the server like we were. When we all got to 70 we cleared through prince Malc on our first attempt in blue gear, guild went pretty well from there. got first server kill on Hexxlord ahead of many high-progression guilds. Could never really make the jump to 25s with so many great guilds on that server poaching my good raiders. When progression started to slip I decided to pack up shop instead of dragging my good friends through declining progression. It was my favorite period in wow and after that I kinda lost my taste for the game. Joined a 10-15th ranked 25s guild with a lot of my old guildies who's name i can't remember. Eventually got into Vicarious, the top guild on the server and then-ranked 25th in the world. Raided with them for 3 months before getting a drop, then was geared to the hilt in about a month (they have a....unique loot system....see http://www.wow.com/2008/08/07/forum-post-of-the-day-vicarious-legend/ which made them temporarily famous in the world of wow). after awhile I realized since the collapse of my guild I didn't really have the wow passion anymore. I sold my account and didn't come back for 6 months.

I came back, can't remember why, played on Kilrogg for maybe a year. Saw Wotlk. Did a lot of naxx, took a break at the launch of uld. took more breaks, when I came back i decided to go alliance to refresh the game. I was helping some priest in elwynn forest on my first day on the server, she turned out to be one of the officers of Onara on an alt, they were a respectable guild in terms of progression. lvled to 80 on Gravystains in that guild, they were good people but I couldn't break into the raid team having missed the heyday of ToC with ICC being brand new. Wasn't 80 long enough to app to other guilds when i decided, at the prompting of my secretary Brittany, to come to Durotan. Then I met you people and have considered killing myself every day since.

Are you applying to other guilds (including imaginary ones)?

-just Onyxia Gives Epic Head

Do you know anyone in Bacchanalia?

- I know them all, biblically.

Tell us about yourself:

-I'm presently moving to D.C. where I'll be working on a second masters at the University of Maryland. I like books, drinking, history, lots of shit that sounds really boring when shopping listed. My interests are legion. I can eat 50 eggs. I am currently employed as a penis model. No joke.

What kind of a "commitment" can you make?  Since we're such a small guild, we like to keep a tighter raid ranking (in terms of number of people eligible for main raid).  It's a good system in that we don't often have to sit many people, but it's a painful system in that if 2-3 people decline the invite, we're STRUGGLING to fill the raid.  Right now we're really looking for someone who can commit to at least 2 (preferably 3) nights.

That being said, we KNOW real life happens (hell, I'm outta town for almost 2 weeks at the end of the month).  But we really need people that can show up regularly and reliably.

Raids are Wed, Sun, & Mon at 9pm server time.  My recommendation would be to show up this Wed and there's a good chance we can fit you in.  :)

Damnit...  I do that a lot.  It's the problem of living in central time and playing on an east coast server...  9pm Server time...

"That was odd. I felt a great disturbance in the Force, as if millions of hunters suddenly cried out in terror and were suddenly silenced. I fear something terrible has happened."
-Matticus

-Jak,

I see no reason why I couldn't guarantee making every raid for the next three months, barring the occasional internet crash or unavoidable real-life obligation. My schedule for fall semester doesn't include any obligations on those nights, but being at a new school in a new city something could potentially arise to disrupt that, but I would say that's a very outside possibility. Just difficult to speak about that time period when there's no way I could know what all it will involve. Short answer: yes, i can make each run.
