So...

I've been having trouble logging into LOTRO all day long. It almost never goes past the login attempt x/20 screens and times out. Once I was able to get on, but DCd after 1 min. Anyone else having this issue? Just me? West coast problem?

Apparently it is affecting all West coast Time warner people within a certain radius of LA. 
Epic fail.

I got in last night for five minutes and connection server was lost.  Haven't been able to log back in since then.  It will go through the load screen and just before getting in give me the dc message.

Edited to add: And yeah, I'm in L.A. on Time Warner.  It looks like this has happened with TW and other MMO's...and didn't get fixed for months.  That's kind of obnoxious.

I wonder the best way to bring up this issue to time warner? Their customer service is abysmal at best, and not sure if they will even know wtf I am talking about if I call in. ideas, Pan?

I don't know, I'm so burnt out on talking to customer service (DirecTV has earned our lifelong ire.)  Someone in the thread you posted did mention that a customer service rep (from Turbine I believe?) hoped to have it worked out on Monday, and did seem to have gotten to a tier 3 conversation about it with TW.  So it seems more hopeful than previous situations where this happened with other MMO's.  Honestly, it seems like both Turbine and TW are blaming each other.  It did happen post-update, so it does seem like something that should be fixed on Turbine's end. 

As for TW, it sounds like their customer service isn't up on weekends, though I'm all for pushing a request and seeing if we can get a response on Monday. It seems like that thread had a great outline for how to approach TW about it.  They need to hear from us just to be aware that there are a lot of us displaced, but I do believe they're working on it if that thread is any indication.

Some people have been having success getting back in.  How about you Sil?  I just tried and got a dc on the load-in.

called in and had them reset my network connection on their end. seems to have done the trick for now. Weather that is permanent or not, I do not know. we shall see though
