The Inklings kinship uses official ceremonies to promote its recruits and memebers to new titles.

Ceremonies are coordinated by Hoolegan and are held at the kin house or The Bird and Baby in MD, Shire.

Ceremonies usually include gifts, music, fireworks, smoke, and title changes. When promoted, the officers usually outline the ROE and general duties of a member. The ceremony always ends with everyone taking a sip from the house keg for a port around Middle Earth.

The calendar will be updated when a ceremony is taking place. To apply for membership a recruit needs to notify an officer (needs a sponsor), and needs to bring one Tier 2 crit crafted item, and a 50 stack of a tier 2 gathering resource. The kinship uses those for kin upkeep or for helping new recruits' main characters level in the earlyl stages of the game.

Officers present new members with gifts and usually recognize and provide other gifts to members who have accomplished great feats.
