I still have my "Maulgar set" on Lurid in his bags for the time I did Maulgar a few months ago, so if you have any questions on what to get (hint: some are green AH pieces) feel free to ask me or better yet look-up Zabiba in-game since his set (includes some PvP pieces as well) and you can see how he itemized.

The key stats  you want are STA, INT, and maintaining high spell hit (like above 60 rating points) so the Spell Steal of the Fire Shield is not resisted or very little.  The more +spell hit you have the less you will resist grabbing the shield, which is crucial to your role in the fight.  The mage tank role is arguably one of the most important roles in the Maulgar fight.  The more +spell hit you have (either itemization, gemming or enchants--ie. gloves) the better and the more successful.  You won't take as much fire damage from Krosh Firehand's pyros.

Oh that's right.   Mox you rock!!  I also can't wait for you to be able to use your hunter for stuff when you want to take a break on your tank.  We don't want folks to be burned-out if we can help it.

Yeah that is a sweet ranged and it is fast for pulling.

I have to head over there for rep with them for my tank for my PvP set.   That is a great helm enchant--loaded with STAM and crit/dot reduction.
