Welcome to Ultima Ratio Regum!

We are moving to a new site, www.theaudacianrepublic.com. I would like all current members to move there as soon as possible. All people looking to apply to URR please go to this site as well and put an application in there, not here. Thank you.

Ultima Ratio Regium is a Roman-based guild formed for the game Mortal Online. Mortal online is not scheduled for release until summer of 2009. We are currently recruiting players of all skill levels, all planned careers, and all races except Half-Orcs in-game (though we do recommend that you play as a Tindremene). If you want to be a Kallard warrior we'll take you. If you want to be a half Tindremene, half Sidoian and play as a solid crafter we'll take you too. At the current time we are considered to be a light RP'ing guild but you are more than welcome to RP more than that or none at all. You can even set up an RP'ing community within the guild and if enough players want to RP we will even become a moderate RP'ing guild.

Hopefully when we get enough members, we will try and group guild members who live closer to each other together. That way their time zones will be similiar and they will have an easier time playing with guildmates. The current Emperor and founder of the guild lives in the Eastern U.S., timezone (-5 GMT), and will probably be organizing around these hours. So for now Ultima Ratio Regum will be considered a U.S. guild but we will accept any EU/Asian/Oceanic players that wish to join us.

An interesting bit of information about the name of the guild. It means "the Final Argument of Kings" in Latin and was placed on the side of cannons by the French King, Louis XIV. I thought it seemed to be a fitting name for a guild as it sounds cool and could also be used as a motto for our army.

Even More Changes

I have now upgraded the site to one that I have to pay for. You will notice there are now no more advertisements anywhere on the site. You also can now post more on the forums. Not sure if there is a limit now, but before it was about 1 page of posts and it would cut you off from posting anymore. We also have some online storage on the site but I'm not 100% sure how that works. When I do find out I will let you guys know.

More Changes

We will now no longer allow PK'ing of outsiders without a just reason. we say this because we do not want our players to cause unwanted tensions between our guild and other outsider guilds. Players will be held responsable to a certain degree for any PK crimes committed to outsiders.

It's Official

We are now in an alliance with other roman based guilds. Me and the leader of another guild will be setting up a alliance website. The alliance will be referred to as a republic and will be RP'ed as a split from the Tindremene Empire. More information to come in the following days as I summarize the meeting.

Site Update

The site has been given a new look and some new information has been added. We have also changed some prior information that we had already released.

Some new updates:
- Roman alliance negotiations are going well. Should be form a strong alliance with several guilds here soon.
- We are no longer accepting any races other than humans. You can be any human race mix you want as long as it isn't a mix with a non-human race.
- Military structure and rank system information added

This is all the updates for now. There will probably be more changes to come over the following week or two.
