The Shop announces the formation of its official security team. Dion’s Dogs will provide security for the workshop, its surroundings and if necessary, its affiliates and cooperative ventures. Team members might also serve as representatives in safety matters, consultants in armed conflicts, escort for trade caravans and work force in cases concerning outside hostility.  

Dion's Dogs are now recruiting from the Shop’s own ranks to find individuals most suited for dangerous tasks. The team will practice and work together regularly in order to develop structure, discipline and coordination. Recruitment from allies of the Shop, as well a coalition of armed personnel, might be taken into deliberation at a later point.

Saints Incorporated and The Shop are proud to present the Wasteland Car Show. Located right outside Spider Hill in the Plateau, we will be displaying the variety of mechanized vehicular transportation available through-out the wastes. Our mechanics will be standing by their prized machines, ready and more than willing to talk shop and show that civilization is far from dead.


Along with the display and the conversation, the event will include:

• Live Music courtesy of Post Apoc Radio!
• A drag show at 4PM EST!
• Door Prizes at 3:30 and 4:30PM EST!
• An auction at 5PM EST for a brand new Wasteland Rider Motorcycle which includes a Wasteland Survival Kit!
• Concession stands, jam packed with food and beverages to keep the auto-enthusiast going!

Bring your vehicles and bring your chips, this will be one hell of a ride!

Scavenge for the Clan Day!

On Sunday, we will be having our first ever Scavenge for the Clan Day.  The primary goal of this effort is to build up resources for the clan to use, especially resources needed for vehicle production.  The general outline for the event is to meet up outside a specified PvP area around 4pm CST (Please adjust to your own time since I messed up last time!) at a location that Amineri has chosen.  From there we will proceed into the PvP area to begin gathering resources.  A couple things to remember as far as protocol while we are inside the PvP zone:  Don't wander too far off from each other alone; we'll probably break down into two or three harvesting groups, do not attack anyone unless they attack you, inform everyone immediately if you are attacked.  I'm hoping that our sheer numbers will ward off anyone from attacking us, other than the occasional random idiot.

I will be using Vent that day to help make communication quicker and I welcome anyone that would like to join me.

Hello, all my little wasteland trick-or-treaters.  With Halloween drawing near I am happy to announce The Shop's first contest - The 2009 Halloween Narrative Contest.  Pull out your pens, pads, laptops or papyrus and get ready to spin a tale worthy of a shiver.  Below are the details for the contest:

The Shop - 2009 Halloween Narrative Contest

Rules
1.  All entries must be submitted by the end of October 28th, 2009.  Entries should be submitted to theshopfe@gmail.com.  The winning entries will be announced on Octoboer 31st, 2009.
2.  Each story must be kept under 2500 words.
3.  Stories can cover a range of topics from digging around in a crypt for treasures, fighting off blight wolves or even throwing a Halloween party at the shop.  Topics that do not fit a Halloween theme will be disqualified.

Prizes
1. First place will receive 20 blue chips in game.
Note: The top winning entry from The Shop, even if not part of the top 3 overall entries, will receive the "Tales of Terror" medal designed by yours truly.
2. Second place will receive 10 blue chips in game.
3. Third place will receive 5 blue chips in game.

Judging
I, Mercury Jones, will judging the entries.  Each entry will be judged based on general creativity and how well the theme of Halloween is used in the story.  After I have announced the winning entries, I will post the winning entries on the Fallen Earth forums.  I will also post the winning entries, along with any Shop submitted stories on The Shop's website forums. 

Note: I am open to having a couple people judge the entries along with myself.  If interested, please contact me through theshopfe@gmail.com.

From the Wasteland -

    Today, The Shop, appointed it's first coordinator of role-playing events.  The person to take up the task is Tunker/Krado, also known as Master of "Doc" Grisom.  Starting today she will begin her work to encourage and organize role-play within the clan and to extend a hand of friendship out to other role-playing clans within Fallen Earth in hopes of creating cross clan storylines.

    Everyone should take a moment to congratulate and wish her well in her new and extremely important position.  Remember, it does not require Tunker/Krado to think up a storyline and organize it.  If you have ideas for the clan,  then feel free to approach her and/or myself.
