Our History: The Watchers of the Eglain were first assembled September 10, in the year 2998 of the Third Age. Before then, the Lone-Lands were protected only by inexperienced, poorly-armed militias spread throughout the region. Frideric the Elder of Ost Guruth ordered the assembly of the Watchers, uniting all the militias under a single military company.

Frideric the Elder appointed his adopted son, Brederic Taltrin, as the Chief-Captain of the Watchers. Chief-Captain Taltrin remains in his position today, at the age of 47.

The Watchers use the largest settlement in the Lone-Lands, Ost Guruth, as their base of operations, sending out soldiers on patrols and reinforcing other settlements as needed.

(( "Eglain" translates to "Forsaken" in the elvish language of Sindarin. The people of the Lone-Lands are often referred to as this simply due to the ravaged state of their homeland. ))

How to Join: Travelers and fellow Eglain brothers and sisters are all welcome into the Watchers. Seek out one of our Captains or Chief-Captain Brederic Taltrin himself, all of which will most likely be found in Ost Guruth or other settlements in the Lone-Lands. Recruits will be evaluated based upon physical capabilities and basic tactical knowledge. All recruits shall be supplied with basic weapons and armor, and Captain Celebri will make sure your fighting skills are up to standards!
