Well now i am pissed off it seams to me GP has lowerd the amount of content for web sites we can no longer post anything in our forums it keeps saying we reached our limit so i went and removed all old posts and removed a few forums compltely i removed over 2 3rds of the content and we still can not post. At one time we where a pay site but it seams like they are making it so you have to subsribe now if you want your site to be usefull in any way for you guild

I have had my guild on guildportal since 2003 it is sad that they are changing how much we can do for about 2/3 of the time i did subscribe to gp but cant aford it at this time will have to see if i can get a few guild members to donate

I thill theik guild Portal is the best hosting site

Hi ya Didokova,

I can understand your frustration.  The only thing I can do is explain what happened.   The code that was supposed to have been checking for content limits (specifically when posting in forums) wasn't functioning. It has been this way for quite some time. We had to fix it up, unfortunately.  A few of your sites were so busy it had long ago passed up the limits, causing this issue here;/ 

As for the cost of the site, we have widget that you may or may not know about called the “PayPal Donate Button”   If you were to add this widget to your site, you could have your members donate directly to your PayPal account, helping offset the cost.

I hope that helps, or at the least explains why the content limits appeared suddenly.

Yeah sorry about that Didokova... That one was completely my fault. Looking back, it probably would have been better had I put up some kind of notice that it was going to happen ahead of time, instead of just pushing the fix. Again, my bad.
