Mail Notification v6
by Mottie
Description
This mod opens a popup to notify you if you have a new mail message. It was written for users who wish to hide their top menu bar (state bar/log in bar). Or if you just want a bigger message telling you that you have mail. I've set it up to open either a growl window (timed popup) or a facebox (popup you have to close).
For more information on the custom variables, please see
this post
.
To style the growl window (pictured above), use the "Growl Window Styling" Mod or refer to
this post
.
To style the Facebox popup window, please refer to

Signup Status Color v5
by Mottie
Description
This mod will add CSS classes to the character status, so you can set the color yourself with the CSS and the script will do the rest. Within the script, you can set it to just color the Status column or the entire row. This is what it will look like:
*Note: this is an old screenshot, but the code still works

Fingers of Fury!
I'm new to the GuildPortal Admin Community, so please don't shoot me on this because I am positive my question/suggestion has been discussed many times before...
I REALLY want control of my roster! Sure, I'm a control freak (I'm an admin, ya know)! Sure, I'm really anal about things (I'm an admin, ya know)! I want control of it. I want to clean it up! I want to put a capital letter at the beginning of my members' first and last names! I want to change the fact that Whatshisname's 62nd level Monk isn't really a 1st level Wood Elf Enchanter and since I can never actually GET him to the website it's there forever and for all to see. I want to put the name of the main in parenthsis next to the name of the alternate. Please, don't tell me that I'll never have that ability!
Oh, enough ranting. Is this ever going to be something that admins are going to have control of?

One thing I like about guild portal is that it makes the members do their own work. They have to update their characters memberships which saves me a ton of time, they have to make sure their levels and abilities are correct. What we do on our guild is that if a member does not keep his character synced in game we used the handy dandy do not display tag on their characters name. Or if your playing EQ (that is what it sounds like) used the in game guild roster instead just dump from game and upload to GP. Nice!
Now normally I am not one to give suggestions for working around a problem that a person is having with a service but for admins to be able to alter character information (you see the character info belongs to that character) just sort of rubs me the wrong way. And while yes I would love to be able to replace one of my members levels (his level was 45 but he had it posted as god) I just feel wierd adjusting other peoples information. besides my exp has been when some of them members see that you are working to adjust the info they are just gonna slop their character into the roster any old way and let you deal with it. I had to do that back when I was hosting my own website. Yuck.
