In a users profile, whether this be associate right up to super admin you can grant the individual with additional admin rights.

What I would like is to grant an Associate level access to visitors (not guild members) but have a check box option to allow them to have read only access for forum posts (that have at least associate rights).

In essence I am looking to open up some of our archived character profiles and fiction from campains and games gone by not on a public level, but to interested readers, without them leaving posts againsts this history. Rather than having to go through each and every single thread (and ther is a lot) and lock them one by one.

Is this possible?

I know im responding a month later...but looks like no one else did. the lock button on the topic thread is a nice feature. Now they can read but not post.

I recently came across a situation where I wanted to set a whole forum to read-only for everyone except officers. I could find no way to do this (please point it out if there is) without individually locking every thread.

No alternate text supplied.
