Hi there!

We've gotten behind on several expansions, additions, and the like for some of the games we host guilds for.  Specifically, we're wondering what we're missing along these lines:

  • Areas of the game.  The zones listed when you are adding or viewing an event, etc.  What's not there that should be?
  • Classes/races.  What's been added that's missing?  What's named incorrectly?
  • Roster stuff.  What should be displayed that isn't?  What's displayed that doesn't really matter to anybody and should be removed to make room for more important data?
  • Content types.  Are there any types of content that you consistently feel the need for, that is specific to your game, that you would like to see added?

There is one topic like this for each of the games we host, at least the top several, and they are stickied in the Feature Requests forum.  Please, if you would, post only in the one that's specific to your game.  We're trying to clean house before we add some things people have been asking for for a long time now, so your help is very appreciated!

As always, thank you for choosing GuildPortal!

All the recent fixes and upgrades to the web content and especially the control panel are TERRIFIC and much appreciated.

As far as game-specific errors for EQ2, so far the only error I've noticed is on the new recruiting widget.  It should be spelled conjurOR and not conjurER.  This also appears in the standard roster view.

Also speaking of the recruiting widget, could you add a permission checkbox on the profile pop-up (like events, forums, polls, etc.) so that we can assign certain members access to editing recruitment settings.

I enjoy the SOE Guild Roster a lot.  I would like to know if its possible to have an option for the Character flags and Keys search in association with the SOE roster instead of the member editing it by hand.

Is it possible to list quest jounal from the game (SOE) for the members so we can search what quests are linked to which member.  I dunno if it can be done but just asking.

One of the things that I would like to see is a raid progression feature where you the administrator could choose the expansion that you would like to have displayed, and your kill list.  A small logo at the top that would show the expansion, (i.e. Rise of Kunark, The Shadow Oddessy, etc.)  Then as each mob is killed within each zone the administrator would simply check the box, and add the date of the kill.

Another thing that would be nice is a tool for adornments.  Granted I have links, and have embedded pages within my site utilizing the current tools, but I would like to have a standalone version that would permit for members utilize a drop down menus (slot/tier) We typically don't need to know what is required to make it, but simply way to quickly find the information on the adornment for that slot within the specified tier.

If you wanted to add additional useful information one of the things that I would like to see are the races along with the racial benefits.  Since people within our guild enjoy rolling alts it would make it easier for them to be able to get the information from one source and not from going to EQ2 Wikia.

Also a loot database.  I see that EQ2 Wikia is able to utilize the data and images provided from, and it would be nice to have a tool that would permit for us to search for these items from the GuildPortal platform.

Much props on the Chat Server addition, and some of the other interactive tools you have added!

As I think of other ideas I will pop back on here to share!

You can see an example of what Alaocia is speaking about (As I'd like to see something similar to this also) Here: - or some to just help me pick out the CSS / HTML Coding (As I am still a newbie to it all) - so I can put in a Free Form Text/HTML Box on our page ( )

I'd like to see the crafters set for levels - currently level 80 is highest, rather then skill level (Which is only used in Tinkering and Transmuting).

I'd like to see the WINDOW you create your webpage be able to be ADJUSTED by dragging the sides like normal windows. It's a PITA to try to work from small window - and hard to swap back and forth at times when you FINALLY Figure out how to make it FULL Screen. At least the feature for us who pay MORE $$ to have the extras.

Actually thought of a few other things - that may cover all venues covered here:

Officers Contacts area - more control of FONT size / color - title of officers (for example: Recruitment Officer)

Links Categorized Listed - more control FONT size / color of at least the TITLES

Raid Point Standings - How about fixing this so it can be edited etc ... currently, unable to edit anything with in. Also, once fixed to edit etc, control on FONT size / color etc.

Any listing template - The ability to modify FONT size / color - and Rearrange ORDER of the list.

Becoming Adept!

Draylor touched on this, but one thing I'd like to see in the roster is a seperate column for tradeskill, seperate from class.  Or at the least have all the tradeskills represented in the class column.  I'd like it to be easy to see who our crafters are and at what level they are crafting.

I did a little searching, and I would like to see some of the features from Guild Launch applied here as the raid progression that they have is quite nice as well as their recruitment function.  The pop-ups for item stats would be great to have here!

They also have a ton of other non-game related features that would be great for all games involved.

The doodad gallery of collected images would be excellent for a first guild portal member that is not perfect with image design, and allow for them to make a unique site for themselves! - heres the link if you would like to take a peek at some of their features against Guild Portals.

Note: this is for comparison purposes only, and I am an avid Guild Portal person so I am not advocating this site at all, but only wanted to bring some attention to some of the additional features that they offer that would be nice to have here!

I agree ... I'd like to see a Raid progression also added to Guild Portal along with item pop-ups (Which can be added - Mottie can explain or point to the links - but I haven't gotten it to work 100% on all things - the one I have working is from Allakahzam's site, but would like to get my Calendar pop-ups working etc.)

I'd like to see a bit more work done for the Everquest 2 players - I know SoE didn't advertise as much as they did for EQ Live, and we don't have the player base as much as WoW (Because their launch was much more successful years ago), but we have do have a good base of players.

 Thanks in advance ...

PS - Aaron - I think you were in my guild in EQ Live also Axiom Shift ... was LOoooooooooooooooooooooooong ago

Please please please can you extend the number of options available for "roles" when signing up for a raid. The current list is far to limited. Ideally I'd like to see a feature added where we can define our own roles, but for generic ones I'd love to see...

Event Host
Main Tank
Off Tank

Plate Healer
Chain Healer
Leather Healer
Healer (any)

Melee DPS
Ranged DPS
Mana Regen
Crowd Control

Many thanks.
