In another thread I talked about an IM app I was toying with in development.  I'm going to make it available for download and use now, but keep in mind it's still very much a work in progress.

You won't need to free up any ports on your firewalls -- it's entirely running against web services.  The down-side of this is that it's not as “Instant” as some of the more popular IM clients out there; you've usually got a few seconds lag between a message being send and when it's received.

I'm posting here instead of announcing it because I still need to evaluate the hits against the services and do fine-tuning.  Also, please note that in order to exit the client, you need to use File -> Exit (the X button on the window title won't cut it).  This and a few other quirks are the reason for the hushed release.

You will need the .NET Framework version 1.1 installed on your computer before installing the IM client.  The .NET framework is supported on Windows 2000, Windows 98, Windows ME, Windows NT and Windows XP.
