Kudos. The first step in the Armory Integration is great! I appreciate not having to upload the data whenever it changes.

The WoW Integration banner (in admin section) states "...and thereby avoiding the need for members to manually enter and update character information." Would I be correct in assuming that the next step would be to allow site members to configure individual characters to use WoW's XML to pull in other character information such as professions, skills, ...?

It would be a bonus if a Skills page were driven by the Armory data. I would no longer have to hound members to keep them updated.

Best,

Frelling

It is nice to see the WoW Armory integration. Unfortunately, I prefer the old method of manually updating.

The new roster updates, although much more efficient; does not give as much information as the old Guild Roster auto update.

With the Armory site, it does not provide the actual rank names that is pulled from the game directly.

It's nice for my members and officers to know who is who and what position they have in the guild outside of looking at the officer contact list and waiting for them to make a post in the form.

This is just something I prefer for my Guild.

Great job!  My only complaint is the not having the ranks on the roster now, as mentioned above.  I would be ok with even having the rank numbers pulled in and I could easily put a key to the side that says what each number is in terms of rank.

Did exactly as stated and it finds zero members.

When you enable the WoW Integration, you want to make sure you use the exact name of your guild. If it has special characters, spaces before or after the name, you're going to need to use those as well.

Click "search" and it should work from there.

Once you have that, on your Roster page, you will need to replace your current Auto-Roster (updated by uploading the guildportal mod) with the new roster option for the Armory.

Hope this helps

I have a couple of issues with the new Armory Integration.

First, the new module is not as visually appealing as the old one. It is too small for my taste.

I miss the guild ranks. Looking at that list I cannot tell who is the guild leader and who is an officer.

I also miss the guild notes.

I would agree with the poster above that the Skills page should be driven by the Armory data.

Other than that I do think the Armory integration is a good idea!

I completely agree with you Dealla. That would make things "a bit" easier to deal with. But I hope we can continue to use the original auto-update without having to go through extra steps to make it understandable.

Nothing against WoW at all.  But yeah call me "jealous", we need more content for the new games.  Such as LOTRO.

Everywhere I look, I can find WoW features, cmon throw us LOTRO guys a bone.

I did that and the result is zilch. Where can I find that search button then?

Anyway, since we use the armory in an embedded page it seems an overkill for our website, and reading the above postings I would prefer sticking with the "old" roster, but I hate the yellow bar.

Check the public part of our site .....
www.swat-team.nl

The rosters are in the "ledenlijst" page.

I enabled this but I don't see it on our Rostoer page at all. It found our guild and everything fine though....just isn't showing up on our actual roster page.
