So, I recently just started up a GuildPortal site and saw that we are given 5 megs of storage space for uploaded files.  I'm curious if there is anyway to increase that limit size or do people just use sites like imageShack and photobucket to hold all the online pics they add into their site.

The only problem I've run into with those sites is (and its not likely to happen to a small site like mine) if the pictures are viewed too many times the site will halt the viewings of them and instead put up  a "this picture has been removed due to too much bandwidth draw".

Anyway, I guess I'm looking to see how everyone else hosts the endless amount of photos they use in their websites.  Thanks.

Our leader registered a domain name for our site ( and we received space from the provider. That's how we host the majority of our images. When members create news stories with images I tell them to use photobucket or imageshack. We haven't had an issue with exceeding  bandwidth for images on those sites.
