I use a lot of custom CSS on the guild website I admin. It was working fine until today's update. I understand additional CSS classes were added to enhance ability of using custom style sheets, but it destroyed all the formatting I had.

Here is the website:
http://www.guildportal.com/Guild.aspx?GuildID=222194&TabID=1872946

Any help or recommendations in getting the formatting back to what it used to be (you can guess considering the background) would be appreciated.

Should be good to go now -- sorry about that!  Take a look at the CSS and see the PageWrapper and ContentWrapper rule settings.

Figured it out. In case anyone else runs into this, I had to disable my custom CSS and grab the new CSS heading from the front page with no customization on it. Apparently some tags have changed that were no longer being read in the old body tag.

After cutting and pasting this from my source into my customer style sheet, I'm good to go and everything is center justified again

Any chance of you posting what some of those things you had to add in were here?

Fingers of Fury!

I added

.PageWrapper {text-align:center;margin-left: auto;margin-right: auto;width: 1000;}

between Body and Form and that resolved my 100% width and banner alignment issues.. hope it helps.

Cheers,
True.

This fixes the site table width but the table/site is no longer centered and nothing I do will fix this. I use heavy CSS. The whole site on each page is now aligned to the left. I need it centered. I need to know how to fix this please. I don't think I have ever seen "PageWrapper" before.

Well, the main difference I've found (so far) is that you used to be able to set the page styles from the control panel and have that maintain those values.
Control Panel > Style & Colors > Page Styles > Site Layout
But now with the new "PageWrapper" CSS class added, it ignores those settings when you have a Custom StyleSheet enabled.

So all you need to do is add what TrueFist posted to re-center your page. But adjust the width (in red) to fit your site.
.PageWrapper { text-align: center; margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; width: 100%; }
And a note to Aaron - Please add a way to align the Page Background image in the control panel

Is it me, or does it render differently on IE than Firefox?  The way my site (click me) renders on Firefox 3.0.4 is the way I want it to look.  In IE 7, the page isn't centered.  I added this to my CSS:
  .PageWrapper {text-align:center;margin-left: auto;margin-right: auto;width: 1024;}

Basically, I want my page to be a 1024px column centered within the browser.

Thoughts?

I'll spare you my bitterness of being broken by lack of backwards compatibility of changes.  After all, I am a conditioned M$FT user.

Getting both ie7 and FF to display the same is a ridiculous process of trial-and-error.  Don't even get me started on Chrome.  grrrr.

Try adding "text-align:center" into your body {} string.  Also try adding it to your .BannerArea {} string if you have one.  Possibly remove it from your .PageWrapper {} string.  And possibly remove the "margin-left:auto" and "margin-right:auto" from your body {} string, if it's in there.

Like I said, it's ridiculous.
