Fingers of Fury!

The previous Site Admin was able to embed her google docs form and spreadsheet into a post on the forums. When she left the guild I took over, and am trying to do a similar thing, but I can't get iframes to work so that instead of a link to the form and then a link to the spreadsheet, it will just display both in the post in separate frames. Any Ideas?

For some reason GuildPortal does this to iframes when inside a forum post.

I found a way around it, but you have to put the iframe in a brand new post, one that has never been edited.

I just tried that, no go. It just prints my code as the post instead of reading it as html.

Here is the code I am using:

<iframesrc="Site obscured"width="310" height="1046" frameborder="0" marginheight="0"marginwidth="0">Loading...</iframe>

Try again, copy and paste the iframe code into a new post... I just did it above to test it out.

Is there a way to embed a strait up .xls file on gp at all? The reason I ask is because I'd like to sort by class/rank/level/etc.

Browsers aren't designed to read .xls files, so you need to embed a viewer. I know Google docs and Zoho Sheets works nice for embedding spreadsheets... I'm sure there are others out there.

I sort of got what I was looking for. Not 100%, but it's better than what GP offered.

Roster

Eventually I'll have it filled all the way out. Just trying to get everything organized come raiding time.

I get "iframe converted to hyperlink for security reasons"

can we no longer embed a website into a forum post?

I'm looking to embed a Google Doc into a Content Box.

Is this possible? I'm looking at the code, but not making much sense of it.

Can we revive this topic?

Thanks!
