If it's here, I missed it but a search feature for this forum would be very nice.

My reference books won't be here until next week so I need to pester you again, Mottie.

http://www.guildportal.com/Guild.aspx?GuildID=342141&TabID=3017818 is my site. If you look at the Officer and Shout boxes, they both have a lot of air. Ditto every paragraph in the Welcome and News boxes. How do I reduce the space? I used to use tables but that's a lot of extra work and besides the HTML, CSS and XML have all changed a whole bunch since I did this regularly.

Thanks again!

Hi Arahila!

The search is directly under the last forum group... if you look at these Admin forums, it's directly under Tech Zone.

The shout box spacing looks off because of your image. It's wide and short. If it was more square, it would look like it was filling in the space. I have the shout box script to add a minimum of 54 pixels to a shout that contains an image. The one on my Help Site Home page is resized to 50x50 pixels in the shout box (as is yours), so it doesn't look off. If you want to change it, this is the CSS, but the image is set to float: right, so it may overlap text below it.
As for your news and welcome box images, make them float: left then the text will sit next to it and not leave that big gap.
<img src="some-image.jpg" style="float: left">
or add this CSS into the Welcome widget... hmm I had to look, you aren't using the standard Welcome or News Widgets, so this CSS targets the entire center column. So you should only add it to your Home Page (it'll mess up your forums and other pages if added into the custom CSS)
.CenterContentZone img { float: left; }

Coolness, thanks again. At the time I quit working on the site I couldn't see straight much less find things.
