Hi,

I am in the process of setting up our website and I need to include various copywrite notices in the footer to keep the lawyers out there happy. I have tried to do this through the 'Page Footer' setup under the 'Style Tools' menu. When I enter the various disclaimers I need and try to save it, a red box with and asterix appears underneath the box where you enter the custom text/html etc. There isn't any warning text inside the box but as far as I have been able to determine there is either a word or character limit. If I put a very short message into the footer it saves without any error warning and it displays as you would expect on the site. 

Is there a way to customise the footer or get around the character limit in some way? Is this a problem that other people have encountered?

I seem to remember a while ago being able to include a reasonably length footer, with links and logos and a chunk of text etc, for a website I worked on ages ago. But the current restriction doesn't seem to allow for much more than a sentence, which at least for what I need isn't enough.

I'm not that great with html etc, not really one of my strengths, so any advice would be greatly appreciated.
