Trying to figure out how to edit the CSS to add a black border betweencells in the forum listing. I tried doing it for each specific class(ie .ForumIconCell) but that didn't work. I Can't figure out what classit is that defines the border around the forum topics itself. Basicallyit's obvious to the eye where the background image is being repeated,basically i want a black border around that.

Another question I have is, how do I get the annoying black bars out ofmy RSS feed at the bottom of the page? I tried setting border: none; inthe CSS but it only removed the top, extreme right and extreme leftborders and I can't figure out for the life of me how to remove therest, since I thought border: none; applied to everything.

I had the exact same problem you're having with the repeating background on the forums page.

It took me forever to fix it and I don't remember exactly how I did it.  However, I do believe that it isn't controlled by the CSS, but by the Content Containers customization.

Here is my code for my content containers.  You'll want to use your own border images, and your background images.  But it will show you where I put the background images in the code so you know where to put it.  You'll also need to make sure your width and height settings are set to whatever your particular border images use.

<table cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" width="100%" height="100%">
 <!-- MSTableType="layout" -->
 <tr>
  <td width="20" height="20" background="http://home.comcast.net/~arouin/TL.gif"></td>
  <td height="20" background="http://home.comcast.net/~arouin/Top.gif"></td>
  <td height="20" width="20" background="http://home.comcast.net/~arouin/TR.gif"></td>
 </tr>
 <tr>
  <td width="20" background="http://home.comcast.net/~arouin/Left.gif"></td>
  <td align="center" background="http://home.comcast.net/~arouin/Backgrounds/LightGrey.jpg"><FONT color="#0B6A4C"><br>$block[title]<br><img src="http://home.comcast.net/~arouin/divider1.jpg"></td>
<td width="20" background="http://home.comcast.net/~arouin/Right.gif"></td>
 <tr>
  <td width="20" background="http://home.comcast.net/~arouin/Left.gif"></td>
  <td background="http://home.comcast.net/~arouin/Backgrounds/LightGrey.jpg"><FONT color="#0B6A4C"><br>$block[content]</FONT></td>
  <td width="20" background="http://home.comcast.net/~arouin/Right.gif"></td>
 </tr>
 <tr>
  <td height="20" width="20" background="http://home.comcast.net/~arouin/BL.gif"></td>
  <td height="20" background="http://home.comcast.net/~arouin/Bottom.gif"></td>
  <td height="20" width="20" background="http://home.comcast.net/~arouin/BR.gif"></td>
 </tr>
</table>
<br />

Hope this helps

I managed to remove the repeating background by removing the backgroundimage spec for Altgridrow and Normalgridrow.  It's still repeatingon the main forums page but I will continue to play with it. if someoneknows what class i have to remove the image spec from to just use theoverall contentbox background rather than repeat it for every cell, plslet me know.

I have also managed to narrow down the issue of needing a black borderaround the cells in the forum listing. It seems the class isNormalgridrow and Altgridrow. When i set a background to something thatallows me to see the border, i can see there is clearly a 1px borderand this is what I am trying to change. HOWEVER, when I set borderattributes nothing works. I set border: solid; and the border to black,but the cells don't have a border!!

after hours of trying to figure this out I am frustrated...

I read an online tutorial tonight that explained how Borders work in CSS 2 and how come "hidden" and "none" weren't behaving how I expected them to.

Here's the link for you.

CSS Borders and Tables

Hope it helps
