I am looking to change up my forums a little bit and make it so there is a way to make it so its easier to see different forum post and that they dont look like one long list.  I am looking to make some sort of bar (same color as the tab bar background)  maybe that goes along where the reply and edit post buttons are kind of like on this site if you look at the bottom of someones post.  Right now its a little hard to distinguish if you are taking a quick look at the forums where someones post ends unless you look at the reply/edit/delete buttons and I would liek some sort of color/texture difference. Im sure this is going to involve the CSS or something so if anyone could help me with that it would be greatly appreciated.

Go to Content Containers from the styles & colors menu and the first box should be Box Properties>Border color

I'm no expert but I do believe this is it (hopefully lol)

No that is not it, I use a custom CSS so this doesnt really do much and I dont know enough CSS to change what I want.  Any other help would be greatly appreciated.

There are several CSS classes to help you customize your forums.  There is a post in this very forum from a long time ago where Aaron lists out the new forum classes.

Just look for it and use which ones you need.  Note that you may need to design something graphical to help better customize your forum.

Try some of these:

This will change the look of the category cell. On your site this would be the place where it says "General Forums". I use the BACKGROUND-COLOR on mine to break up the forum listing.

/*forum category*/
.ForumCategoryHeader{
FONT-SIZE: 11pt;
COLOR: #000000;
FONT-FAMILY: Verdana;
BACKGROUND-COLOR: #F1E8C9;
BACKGROUND-IMAGE: url();
}

This will change the look of the post headers, where it gives the  subject, time/date stamp in the thread

/*within the post the headers of each post and reply*/
.MessageSubjectCell1{
FONT-SIZE: 9pt;
COLOR: #000000;
FONT-FAMILY: Verdana;
BACKGROUND-IMAGE: url();
BACKGROUND-COLOR:#ffffff;
}

This changes the look of the posters name in the thread.

/*within the post the headers of each post and reply*/
.MessageAuthorLinkCell1{
FONT-SIZE: 9pt;
COLOR: #000000;
FONT-FAMILY: Verdana;
BACKGROUND-IMAGE: url();
BACKGROUND-COLOR:#ffffff;
}

Change the bolded parts to match your sites color scheme.
