Mail Notification v6
by Mottie
Description
This mod opens a popup to notify you if you have a new mail message. It was written for users who wish to hide their top menu bar (state bar/log in bar). Or if you just want a bigger message telling you that you have mail. I've set it up to open either a growl window (timed popup) or a facebox (popup you have to close).
For more information on the custom variables, please see
this post
.
To style the growl window (pictured above), use the "Growl Window Styling" Mod or refer to
this post
.
To style the Facebox popup window, please refer to
this post
.

Signup Status Color v5
by Mottie
Description
This mod will add CSS classes to the character status, so you can set the color yourself with the CSS and the script will do the rest. Within the script, you can set it to just color the Status column or the entire row. This is what it will look like:
*Note: this is an old screenshot, but the code still works

The site this was originally designed for no long looks like the sample on Mottie's site. The CSS was posted but not where and how to insert the divider code. Is it just done as an image and then formatted by the CSS? (That goes on your custom CSS.)
Also to format my forums I am told to go to the Control Panel and then Styles & Colors the Forums Styles. I don't see Styles & Colors...
Content Boxes but not the other. And there doesn't seem to be a place to paste code....

Hi Arahila!
The divider CSS goes into one of these places:
Add it to any Free Form Text/HTML widget that is on the same page where you want to style the divider
Add to your Custom CSS into (make sure you enable before saving):
Full Custom CSS, if you are using full custom CSS and already have this section enabled.
CSS Additions to Standard, if you are using the control panel to style your site
As for the Forum styling, you are reading older instructions written before the control panel changed. Now go to Control Panel > Style Tools > Forum-Specific.

Here is the page: http://www.guildportal.com/Guild.aspx?GuildID=342141&TabID=3017818
Must be my day to not make sense. On the divider, I have the CSS already input, what I don't know how to do is actually get the divider between the news posts. Do I insert an img url or what?

Got it. Working it now.
But what is the area that is a black bar on my forum page called? I've tried to find it and failed.

That bar is called the "ForumCategoryHeader" in the CSS. In the Control Panel you can find it by going to Control Panel > Style Tools > Forum-Specific > Category Background.

Mottie, I hope you are sitting down
- I'm finally starting to understand and get things done! Crack open a cold beverage of your choice, dude!
Many, many thanks!
You've been extremely patient with me trying to get back up to speed. (Will go to Amazon and update my reference books!)
