Ok so ive gone into HTML in a widget box and made a Roster (Table) we have the javascript that will allow the table to be "sortable" so you can clik on the title's and sort them by name, rank, ect... it works on a seperate webpage that we've done but when i put the HTML into the widget box and the javascrip in the controlpanel>custom java
it doesnt.. the titles still act as button (give u the hand icon when you hover) but do not function so my question is
1. how do i get it to work
2. what would be the best way to get it to work
ive heard of a way you can creat an embeded page inside a widget but iunno how to do that would that be an esier solution? also if you look at the page then you can see its messed up the background and stuff of the website as well outside of the widget box how can i contain it to the widget box?

you can see it here

Hi Lord Trist!

Your code has a couple of issues:
  • When you add <!doctype>, <html>, <head> or <body> tags inside of a widget will mess up the layout. Those tags are not really allowed on a page a second time since they are tags that define the main web page.
  • Your <script> tag points to the "sortabletable.js" file when it should point to the file in your guildportal file area. So it just needs the URL in front of the file name.

but it's still not working! also, I'm not sure if i'm putting the </script> tag in the right place.

Hi Destrozar!

Yeah the closing script tag that loads in an external script is always next to the opening script tag (unless you have HTML to display if the script doesn't exist or javascript is disabled). Like this:
<script type="text/javascript" src="http://www.axiomfiles.com/Files/######/file.js"></script>
Other than that I think it should work.
