In regards to site:   www.godmode.guildportal.com

I have been trying to get our guilds custom banner to extend the width of page-  to the edges of the widgets on both sides.   I have been thru every option in control pannel and have tried everything but cannot get this to work.  The banner is always the size of the Welcome area in the center.

In my quest to figure this out I have been told that the site now requires someone to scroll left to right to see the whole site if they are not on a wide screen monitor.    I cannot figure out how to keep the site from scrolling left to right!

Can anyone help with either of these 2 problems?

Hi Tewl2!

Try adding this bit of CSS to your Custom CSS area (Control Panel > Custom HTML & Script > Custom CSS > CSS Additions to Standard tab)
.CenterContentZone img { max-width: 600px; }
Adjust the image max width by changing the value in red above.

Thanks Mottie that solved the scrolling left to right problem on my smaller monitor...

I am still having trouble with the banner background.   I am using the Page Wrapper to put in a background and putting the logo in custom HTML.  The logo stays centered but the Wrapper background seems to not be centered on widescreen.  If you take a look- I just want that background to stretch to the ends of both widget columns.   No matter what I try I cannot get it to.   I was looking at the Brotherhood WoW guildportal site and that banner they have is how I want mine to work.   Works on widescreen and standard.

Also my News pictures are tiny now with that CSS code while viewing in widescreen.

Thanks again for your suggestions!

I gave up on the struggle and went with a tiling background using the Page Wrapper.  Tiling always puts it to both edges of the page and so far lots of compliments-  so i'm happy with that.

It still bugs me that the (kill) pics thru my middle column are so tiny now in widescreen with all that black space- but everything looks great on a standard size screen.

Hi Tewl2!

Sorry I didn't get back to you sooner.

Check out this post on how to change your stylesheet based on the screen resolution.

And hopefully this one will help you with your banner issues.
