Becoming Adept!

Hey again! So. I was looking at this website:

http://www.guildportal.com/Guild.aspx?GuildID=42886&TabID=378370

and I noticed they had some really cool content box backgrounds for the news section. I was going to try and use something like that for my site.

I have been all over the settings page, the normal content box editing dosn't work because I have css. So. I have tried cutting and pasting the codes from diffrent tutorials and websites, but I can't figure out excatly what I'm trying to do. Can anyone give me a pointer on how to put a background box like that behind my welcome/news boxes?

Thanks in advance!

So. Sad story guys. Here is my site:

http://blackskullclan.guildportal.com/Guild.aspx?GuildID=277894&TabID=2332197

Notice how everything looks awesome except the big empty ugly content boxes? That is because I have *zero* idea how to make one. Yes, I have looked over almost 20 pages of this forum, yes I have searched all over the web trying to find out how to make a content box in css. I also thought I'd make it freeform/html and try to put something in there, but again, I don't have any kind of template or any knowledge of how to do it what so ever. I have no idea where to start!

Please help!

Go to control panel > Site pages > u will see a list of pages u have created, select the one u want to put the content into.

you will notice on the left you need to enter a title for the content box, next to that is a drop down menu, select the type of box u need and then move to zone, select where u want it to be displayed, left - center - right finaly select the display order 1 - 1000000 and lastly click add.

I hope that is waht u were refering to atleast lol

The problem is I'm using CSS for the page, so none of the normal background content things guildportal itself can do will apply. I need to either figured out how to make the boxes in the CSS, or do an html box under the edit content. I don't know how to even start either of these. If you look at the News section from the site I linked in the OP, you'll see it is a custom content box with a background behind it. That is what I want to do. If I could I would just cut and paste that code for his and change it to suit me, but I can't find it, and I don't know how to make one. I wish it were as easy as using the build-in features! Thanks for the reply though.

Sorry, I would have responded earlier but that Old School site uses a lot of custom HTML. I know how they set it up, but I don't have the time to write out all the details.
