Mail Notification v6
by Mottie
Description
This mod opens a popup to notify you if you have a new mail message. It was written for users who wish to hide their top menu bar (state bar/log in bar). Or if you just want a bigger message telling you that you have mail. I've set it up to open either a growl window (timed popup) or a facebox (popup you have to close).
For more information on the custom variables, please see
this post
.
To style the growl window (pictured above), use the "Growl Window Styling" Mod or refer to
this post
.
To style the Facebox popup window, please refer to
this post
.

Signup Status Color v5
by Mottie
Description
This mod will add CSS classes to the character status, so you can set the color yourself with the CSS and the script will do the rest. Within the script, you can set it to just color the Status column or the entire row. This is what it will look like:
*Note: this is an old screenshot, but the code still works

I created this site a couple of months ago
Cemetery Gates
and still have yet to figure out how to change the tabs & box borders to give them a multi-dimensional feel. My basic question is where do I start? Do I need to come up with an image and then implement that image into code somehow? I am so very new to this kind of thing and kind of need a step by step guide. I have read the other posts and have not found a concrete answer to my questions.
Specifically I would like to obtain an image (probably something to match the gothic theme of our site) and use that as a background for our site tabs. How do I do that? At the very minimum I would like to make them at least multi-dimensional.
Then there are the box borders - I would also like to give them a multi-dimensional look.
Can someone be so kind as to help this newb with specific tips on how to do this? I am at a loss and not all that verse in this kind of thing. Any help would be great. Thanks!

Fingers of Fury!
You need to create ur tab imagines first..........One for default and one for active.... You need to make 2 for each one tab represented...
Once you have them saved go to your control panel
Find Site style, click on Tab imagines and insert you tab imagines that you have saved somewhere on the web....(for example photobucket.com)
That's all there is to it!! You may have to fool around with the size of the tab imagines to get the look you want at first...

Becoming Adept!
Okay...I am very new to this whole thing also. I have absolutely no idea what I am doing. My guild is Luminarium Insum and my page on Guild Portal is a pre-made job. I want to do my own, but I have no idea how to do HTML or CSS or whatever the heck it is. I don't know how to do any of it and I would like some help. When you "create your tabs", how exactly do you create them, where do you save them to, and how do you load them onto your page? Also for banner and rest of page....oh what the hell...forget it. I will never get it.

I have a question about tabs, maybe it should go here.
I designed the tab row to look like one long continuous box. I cut them up and saved them individually. The problem is, I have a gap between each tab I can't seem to get rid of. Is there a way to make those individual tab boxes lay flush against each other so that the graphic has one continuous appearance?

Look for your file manager in your control panel, or use photobucket.com / box.net

You may have to use a custom CSS for this. ALthough I have no idea how to do the personally, I know
Avant-Guards
' page has this look, so you may want to view their source code for reference.

I played around with the CSS and think what I found might help you all, at least with the tab images and mouseover....
