There was a 90 second update a few mins ago (not sure if this is the issue, but I thought I'd mention it nonetheless...) and now my nav bar buttons are not the same size anymore.

When GP added the navbar buttons feature, I created my custom one and with the help of Mottie, managed to get all the buttons a uniform size and with uniform spacing.  Now, it's all messed up.  Any ideas on how to fix this?

This is what Mottie had me add to my footer html and it worked like a charm before..

<style type="text/css">
.straightBarWrapperInnerTable { margin: 0 auto; }
.straightBarNormalTab, .straightBarActiveTab, .straightBarMouseOverTab { width: 130px; }
</style>

Any help will be appreciated!

Hi Miori!

It looks like an inline style was added to the tab bar, making them 60 px wide... change your CSS to this and it should return to the way you want it (the part in red is new)
<style type="text/css">
 .straightBarWrapperInnerTable { margin: 0 auto; }
 .straightBarNormalTab, .straightBarActiveTab, .straightBarMouseOverTab { width: 130px !important; }
</style>

Yeah, the idea was that if the name of a page was under 6 or so characters, it would be really skinny, making it a little tougher for the less dexterous to click.  Also made the bar look like that particular page was a wedgie.  Was hoping it would go in under the radar!

Well shouldn't the people still using IE6 suffer a little? (hehe)

Anyway I think you can get around the problem with this hack for IE6:
<style type="text/css">
.straightBarNormalTab, .straightBarActiveTab, .straightBarMouseOverTab  {
 min-width: 60px;
 width: auto !important;
 width: 60px;
}
</style>
The solution is from this site and is for min-height, but I think it works for width as well: http://www.dustindiaz.com/min-height-fast-hack/

Ahh, very cool.  Will check it out!  As for letting the IE6 users suffer a little, I know you were joking, but they still hold right around the same share as IE8 users.

LOL yeah I know about that; but, I'm starting to suspect that a majority of the people that visit w3schools.com are web developers looking to see how to fix something in IE6. o.O

And, yes, I do know there are businesses out there that won't pay to upgrade their IE6, so their employees are stuck... kind of sad really.
