Modified CSS for the Body class of the background.

BODY { SCROLLBAR-BASE-COLOR: #000000; SCROLLBAR-ARROW-COLOR: #ffffff; BACKGROUND-IMAGE: url('IMAGE URL HERE'); BACKGROUND-REPEAT: no-repeat; BACKGROUND-ATTACHMENT: fixed; BACKGROUND-POSITION: center bottom; BACKGROUND-COLOR: #000000; FONT-FAMILY: Verdana; FONT-SIZE: 10pt; }

This "anchors" the background in place. it wont move when you scroll
Here's an example.

thank chickenoodle not me

OK, I'm using this code and only this code in my Customize something or another page.  Could you tell me what I need to do to get the boxes back?  I really like the way this is, but it's also really hard to read.  Here's my site for you to take a gander at: http://theironbrigade.guildportal.com

thanks again everyone!

You'll need to put in the custom CSS for the boxes, I think.  One of the less than desirable results of using the Custom CSS section is that it sometimes assumes that what is in there, no matter how little, is ALL that you want in there and ignores the preferences you put in elsewhere.  What I did before I touched the Custom CSS section was to get the page colors, boxes, etc, how I wanted them.  I then looked at my page and at the source code for it.  I copied all of the CSS from the source page.  I pasted this code into the Custom CSS and modified from there so that I could change only what I wanted and everything else would still be the same.  For the above, once you get the CSS code, just find the BODY section and replace it with the above.

Btw, I've still not found an up to date bank mod deal that is easy to use.

Would it help if I said I was Alliance for a year before I went Horde?

I just like to help.  I was given so much help in getting my page going, that I like to return the favor to those that are getting starting.

How can I get a fixed banner width? If I make the res for a 15" screen then it is too small for the larger monitors and if I make the res for a 17" screen it is too large for the smaller monitors.

I see that others have their banners in a fixed position.  Regardless of what size screen you use it always fits from the top left to top right.

I personally made my banner so that it is always 950px wide.  I also have the entire page set to the same width so that the banner is always the same width as the rest of the page.  I chose 950px because it still fit on lower resolutions (1024x768 for example) and wasn't too small for 1280x1024.  Thats probably not what you're asking though.  I'm not really sure how to make it size to the page, but I'm sure someone else on these forums does and can help  Good luck!
