Mail Notification v6
by Mottie
Description
This mod opens a popup to notify you if you have a new mail message. It was written for users who wish to hide their top menu bar (state bar/log in bar). Or if you just want a bigger message telling you that you have mail. I've set it up to open either a growl window (timed popup) or a facebox (popup you have to close).
For more information on the custom variables, please see
this post
.
To style the growl window (pictured above), use the "Growl Window Styling" Mod or refer to
this post
.
To style the Facebox popup window, please refer to
this post
.

Signup Status Color v5
by Mottie
Description
This mod will add CSS classes to the character status, so you can set the color yourself with the CSS and the script will do the rest. Within the script, you can set it to just color the Status column or the entire row. This is what it will look like:
*Note: this is an old screenshot, but the code still works

i like that font, the 3d effect of it is nice, and the blur on the characters too. I think i'll follow your comment and put this up there for a while, at least until one of the members or myself comes up with something.
any thoughts on how to set up for a black, purple and gold page layout?

If you are running Fire Fox, I would recommend 2 addons:
ColorZilla: This addon allows you to get the RGB value of any pixel on the screen. It makes it a lot easier to pick out RGB color values that match your existing artwork.
MeasureIt: This addon allows you to put a ruler in the web browser space. That's how I can pop up a web site and immediately find out the minimum browser foot print, the vertical space before content, and other related measurements.
ColorZilla should help you pick out colors as needed. The boarder images are a bit trickier. What I would recommend is to pick out one of the default schemes you like. Download all of the boarder images individually, recolor them using what ever graphics tool you have, then upload them (either to your own host, or to GP if you have a paid account) and in the configuration options, set the border images to the new ones you just uploaded.

Hello everyone. Long time reader and first time poster here. I've done a lot of reading up on PMWS1 and 2 and have tried to incorporate everyone's suggestions with the guildsite. Working on buttons for tabs and overall revamping the look of the site. The site was originally red and black and I may bring it back to that color scheme. Any questions, comments, and/or concerns please feel free to let me know.

Thanks!

From the top...
You have 400px from the top of the page to the start of your content. That means that your visitors are going to have to scroll down on every single page just to see what they are looking at.
The banner...
Cut your banner down to 150px in height and you'll aleviate a lot of the scrolling issue. Also, ditch the graffiti font. It is next to impossible to read and the green color clashes horribly with the rest of the banner. The Chimeras are cool, but the pixilated quality and high contrast appearance makes them very distracting from the guild name. I would work on merging them into the background texture instead of using a flat black back ground. Shrink/skew the horde banners to fit the new hight. Drop the WoW icons. And work on the font for your guild name.
The menu...
First, get images in there. Using text links is functionally fine, but you wind up with them following the link color settings for the site. So you might wind up with different colored menu options when people have visited one page, but not another. And once they have visited all of the pages, the link color is darker and not as noticable as you would expect for a menu. So toss together a set of images for those menus.
Next, the Charter/Info section, which is it? Charter? or Info? It's your main navigation menu. Be clear.
The Content...
You have images in your main column that are 625px wide. That makes your page 1080 pixels wide which means that anyone without a 19" or wide-screen monitor is going to have a horizontal scroll bar appear. If you cut those images down to <400px you'll be sitting at a more respectable 800+ pixels wide. That's still a hair big, but it should be fine for the majority of visitors.
There are also a couple of broken image links at the bottom of the from page.
The Colors...
I would work on using more consistent colors on your home page. Black, Red, Blue, Light Blue, Gray, White, Green, Gold.... Cut back on the pallet to give the whole page a cohesive planned feel. The picture you have of downing Nalorakk has a pretty cool two-tone double beveled border and a gapped gradient. A nice effect, and one that could probably be worked into a custom box border and theme for your web site. Just be careful with using bold yellow colors as they will draw the eye away from the content they are meant to frame.

Here's our site. I am new to the world of web pages so I am currently using a pre-made design through GP. I will eventually get around to playing with borders and backgrounds. If you could please give me opinions on layout I would appreciate it.
