I'll check it out in a little bit. I just got a call from my boss asking why I wasn't at work. I overslept like a mofo.

Ok, so I guess my question is...

To create the script file, I'd just paste the script into wordpad, and then save as a .js?

No, don't use Wordpad, it adds all your text as rich text (RTF). It's better to use Notepad and save the file as a ".js"

Upload that file to GuildPortal or even better, use ripway.com - like I posted before, you can edit the file online!

D'oh... I've been up since 2pm the day before yesterday. Going on about 32 hours awake with only about 2 hrs sleep. I'll do that later this morning before I get off work

Sometimes you make me proud, Mottie I got it working!!! YAY!

BTW, I love ripway.com

I never knew about it before you mentioned it. But with as many images as we need for our sites, especially you, it's a great idea to have a secondary place to upload to.

LOL, GuildPortal only gives you 5Mb... it's kind of sad really.

So for miscellaneous images (box borders, icons and other stuff for the site), I use photobucket.com! They don't have a bandwidth limit (that I know of) and I've never had a problem with them, but I do set it to upload images < 1Mb in size... if you choose a height and width limit, it'll resize larger images.

For larger images like screenshots and photos, I use Flickr... they have a 20Mb file size limit (upload 100Mb/month) and 150Mb limit for videos. But the site automatically resizes your images. I use this site mostly for their slide viewer. Photobucket also has a slide viewer, but I just don't like the selection.

I only use ripway for non-image stuff like HTML, javascript files (.js), and stylesheets (.css). They do have a bandwidth limit, so it's best to only put small files there.

I use awardspace.com for other stuff like php (which I'm still learning). This site also allows to register two domain names and five subdomains (free version) as well as one free mySQL database for your php... I had a fellow guild member set up a calendar php there way back when, because like I said I'm still learning php and I have no clue about databases. I guess you could just use the awardspace site for the HTML, javascript and stylesheet instead of ripway... I guess I just like having lots of options

*Note: All data above is for the free version of those sites, you get more if you pay for services. And I am in no way affiliated with any of those sites.

Just a small update in the code... you can now leave the instance status blank and get the icon to dim. The script actually checks to see if the first instance boss status is blank as well before dimming the icon, just in case you've killed stuff in there and just didn't want to add an instance status.

So you don't have to copy and paste everything all over again, just replace this line near the bottom of the javascript
if (progress[inst][1][1].match(raidingKeyWord)) pb += " class=dim";
with this:
if (progress[inst][1][1].match(raidingKeyWord) || (progress[inst][1][1] == "" && progress[inst][2][1] == "")) pb += " class=dim";
Enjoy!

I see that the banner is being used as a background to a cell in a table... How would one go about embeding a flash banner into this code vs. just a picture as a background?
